    Fantastic Hotel

    The GM was very caring and attentive to all our needs. The hotel was exceptionally clean. There was no highway noise. Close to restaurants for lunch and dinner. Very close to the wedding venue. Will definitely stay at this BW the next time we're in the area. This review was written by a retired hotel General Manger of over 40 years.

    This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel as it is located close to family. The first time, we paid for early check-in and ended up having to wait several hours anyway and were late to my daughter’s engagement party. This time, we got back to the hotel and the elevator was not working. I had a severely sprained ankle and had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to our room. They still had not fixed it the next day and I had to walk back down the 3 flights of stairs on my sprained ankle. Terribly painful! The staff was not helpful on either occasion.

    We stayed in room 312. The a/c was turned off in the room and the hallway when we arrived at 5pm. It was 90 degrees outside, and 85 in the room. I called down to the front desk to ask if the a/c was turned off on purpose - and was told yes. It took 11pm to cool the room to 75 degrees - thats 6 hours. The a/c in the hallway was NEVER turned on the entirety of our 3 night stay. We were never offered a discount for the discomfort of the first night. iF YOU STAY HERE CALL AHEAD AND MAKE SURE THEY TURN ON THE A/C AT LEAST 6 HOURS BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL.

    I’ve stayed at the Best Western Green Oak Inn & Suites location in La Vernia, Tx approximately three to four times per week since February of 2022. It’s a newer hotel and it’s in a great location. I’ve never once had to make a complaint. This is my home away from home!

    Although the staff was very pleasant, the room we stayed in smelled ad if a smoker was the last guest. Breakfast is dismal, powdered eggs, stale pastries and old fruit. ALL, chairs and tables around pool were not useable , all were rotted out. Definite safety hazard if one wasn't looking, seats were totally rotted through.Makes one feel kinda sick since it is the only hotel in LaVernia, TX
