  We had a very concerning experience at this hotel as a single mom traveling with my children.We returned around midnight after a concert and were unable to access our room due to a lock malfunction. Neither our key nor the master key worked. We waited outside our room for about 40 minutes, and were not informed until around 1:30 a.m. that the door could not be opened at all.During that time, my child’s life-saving medication was locked inside the room, along with all of our belongings and food. As a parent, that was extremely stressful. We were eventually placed in another room after 1:30 a.m., had to sleep in our clothes, and purchase additional food since ours was inaccessible.The manager was completely unavailable throughout the night. We were told the manager had been contacted, but there was no response and no support provided. The manager did not return the call until around noon the following day.After getting very little rest, we were then woken up at 8:30 a.m. and told to retrieve our belongings.While I did eventually receive a refund a week later, there was no apology, no urgency, and no acknowledgment of the seriousness of the situation — especially considering the medical risk involved.This was not just an inconvenience — it was a safety issue. As a single parent managing this situation alone, it should have been handled with far more urgency, care, and professionalism.I would strongly encourage management to review their after-hours procedures and emergency response so another family is not put in this position.

  Bad experience with Best Western Plus in San Antonio, TX

  The most horrible experience we ever had with Best Western Plus . It was from the beginning of our arrival on December 27, 2025, when we arrived the room wasn’t ready to check in even though we were informed over the email from the hotel to check in at 3pm. We arrived at 5:30 pm and the room was not still ready for us to check in. We asked to wait and told the hotel is short on staff which we believe it was a management problem. They can’t say to us they short on staff as an excuse for the room to be ready more than two hours after the initial time of check-in. Especially they had more than two hours to make our room ready even after 5pm. We traveled for 5 hours with three children we ended up at the hotel very tired and exhausted hoped to be checked in, but it was not the case. On top of that, after being checked after 6pm. We got into very messy room. I found some boogers in headbed , which was the most gross part in it. I wonder if they clean the room at all. There were nails on the floor in our main room and the restroom was full hair on the floor, I also found some leftover foods next to the TV stand. On next day in the morning before we have left the hotel to see the city, I stopped by the receptionist to request the cleaning service and changed the towels. I simply requested to fix the mess was left on the night when we arrived into the room. They said yes. But when we came back to the hotel later at night. The room was untouched. The mess from the night before in was still there. We were very disappointed with our stay at the hotel this time and we will not choose Best Western Plus anymore. Thank you!

  Nice quiet hotel.

  I find this hotel clean, quiet, friendly and easy to get in and out of. It is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city and still relatively close to downtown. The complimentary breakfast has a nice variety and you can make your own fresh waffle shaped like the state of Texas. I stay here repeatedly on my trips to San Antonio.   Great quality stay

  I would recommend this hotel. It was clean and hidden away in a quiet location. Plus there is a whataburger next to it! They have police security on site. I had trouble with my shower sliding door and staff was willing to move me after I asked. Although I was there for a week and unpacked so I just rigged it up for the rest of the stay.   The best hotel

  Just get your rooms here. And let the staff do the rest. The rooms were priced very well. Not one bad thing to say about this hotel or it's staff. If you don't stay here your missing out. I need 200 minimum words so I'm just gonna ramble right bout now.
