    Any other hotel at stone oak is better

    DONT STOP HERE. We arrive late and tired just to find roaches in the bathroom, not too clean if you ask me. I told the person at front and he does not care, and what I mean is that we stay at the Hyatt across the street and when this happened they gave us a compensation, not that much but it makes you feel like they care. Moreover, we payed 180 (with out the security deposit) per night, even though online say it was 132. The only good thing is that you can go to life time and the beds. First time a Marriott disappointed me.

    I don’t leave reviews often. Usually my Marriott brand experiences are plenty fine. But this place is just poor.I did use points for this stay. I have 35 nights in Marriott hotels this year so far that I paid for. I am Gold Elite with them… whatever that means.First off the place us dated and not well maintained. Got there around 11:00pm. Woke up to see the view… opened the curtains… and the glass was so dirty you couldn’t make out what was across the street.Second the TV didn’t work. It was late. I looked at plugs but it was all messed up and wouldn’t turn on. Whatever not a huge deal.Third, they literally charge $10 for a Starbucks cold drink out of their little store. Not a drink they made, a bottle. The prices aren’t posted. My fault. It was late. I was thirsty after a four hour drive. But still $10?!Fourth! This is best one… at least the roaches in the tub were small enough to wash down the drain. It was alive on its back… but seriously? In San Antonio on the third floor of a Courtyard hotel?It looked okay enough from the pictures. But there are too many other options in the area.     The rooms were clean and so nice and COOL when we walked in from our early flight. Haley at the front desk was full of smiles, helpful information and even her personal umbrella as we left in the pouring down rain and storm! Kay was at the front desk when we returned from the River Walk. She was a life saver bc we were so exhausted and just needed a quick bite to eat. She recommended a Door Dash and problem solved. Oscar was at the Front Desk overnight and helped with a noise problem upstairs that we so appreciated. There was also another day shift young lady at the desk with an adorable smile and long brown hair that took a picture of us but we dispatch her name. 🙁It was an overall excellent experience and we would definitely stay here again.     Dirty Hotel

    First room smelled horrible, had to switch. Next room had pubes in both beds, so I got the sheets switched. Had to change the beds myself.Took a look at the comforter, had dried up blood stains. Got new comforters, and again, put both beds together myself.Wow, that’s a poor experience.     Hayley was a true joy.

    I never write reviews, ever. but Haley at the front desk was amazing. She was friendly and always there, and the fact that she was always there and friendly is amazing. She took great care of us was always enthusiastic to see us returned to the hotel and made sure we had everything we needed, she likely needs a day off but her attitude never suggested that she was anything but happy to be at work.
