  Disappointing Stay Due to Poor Management of Large Group

  I wish I had something positive to say about my recent stay, but unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and have never experienced any issues, which makes this visit even more frustrating. I traveled with my son and mother for the weekend to pick up my daughter from camp, and what should have been a relaxing trip turned into a very unpleasant experience. After a six-hour drive, we checked in and headed to the pool to unwind. We immediately noticed that every pool chair appeared to be reserved with towels, bags, and personal belongings, despite very few people actually using them. During the entire time we were at the pool, no one returned to many of these chairs. When I asked the front desk if chairs could be reserved or if they knew who the belongings belonged to, I was told there was a large gathering at the hotel and that the owners of the items would likely return. As a result, we had very limited seating options and simply had to make do. The following morning, before the pool had even opened, the chairs were once again "claimed" with coolers, life jackets, towels, and other belongings. After spending the day shopping and picking up my daughter from camp in Hunt, we returned to the hotel and planned to enjoy the pool while waiting for a pizza delivery. Unfortunately, the atmosphere at the pool was chaotic. A large group of children, approximately 10 to 15 years old, were playing aggressively, throwing each other around, using profanity, and behaving inappropriately. I instructed my children to keep their distance, but wherever they swam, the group would move closer. At one point, one of the boys struck my daughter while she was swimming and then swam away. When I calmly asked him to be more careful, he responded by mocking me and using profanity. I reported the incident to the front desk. Once again, the response centered on the large gathering at the hotel. I was told someone would come speak to the group's organizer. While an employee did come to the pool area, the disruptive behavior continued. The children kept roughhousing, following my children around the pool, and using inappropriate language. When I politely asked them to watch their language around younger children, they laughed, mocked me further, and continued their behavior. Eventually, my children became upset and no longer wanted to swim because they felt uncomfortable and unable to enjoy the pool. We ended our evening early and returned to our room while waiting for our food delivery. I informed the front desk that we had to leave the pool because of the ongoing situation. The most disappointing part of this experience occurred at checkout. I explained everything to the employee working that morning, hoping for at least an acknowledgment or apology. Instead, I was told that because I had prepaid for the weekend and there was a large gathering at the hotel, this was essentially part of the experience. I found that response incredibly unprofessional and dismissive. What upsets me most is not simply the behavior of the guests, but the hotel's lack of action and concern. Large groups and events happen, but that should not prevent other paying guests from safely and comfortably enjoying the hotel's amenities. A sincere apology and more proactive management could have made a significant difference. Sadly, after this experience, I do not see myself staying here again. I genuinely hope the hotel reevaluates how it manages large group events so that future guests do not have a similar experience.

  Excellent!, close to downtown, beautiful grounds and pool, great value!

  Located a short 5 min walk from Main Street. We stayed there for a quick getaway. The staff was courteous and attentive, Lay presented a nice quick breakfast buffet and Ervin was very helpful at the front desk. The room was clean and accommodating. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, using mostly native plants. The pool (with a slide for kids), hot tub and fireplace were lovely amenities. Had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend!   Great place to come unwind.

  We always return to the Fredericksburg Inn for our company training. We all love it! Everyone that works there takes special care of their guests. The meeting room is great. It's the perfect place to host a meeting event or just a weekend getaway. Close walking distance to shopping and restaurants.   New Favorite hotel!

  Beautiful property—every staff member we encountered was amazing. The Director of Sales, Carrie, and GM, Lacy, were especially helpful and incredibly kind!The property features brand-new pool furniture that is fantastic, along with great meeting spaces for any events you may be planning.One of my favorite parts is how close it is to downtown Fredericksburg, yet it still feels like you’re completely surrounded by nature, with the river and trees throughout the property. It’s quiet, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful.The rooms are newly renovated, very comfortable, and super clean—overall a very relaxing stay. I will definitely be back!   Fabulous Stay

  The entire staff was extremely hospitable. The hotel is beautiful & charming. It was a first class experience from check-in to check out. Their newly refurbished guestrooms were spacious, clean & comfortable and their location to restaurants, bars & wineries can't be beat. Their Meeting Space, F&B Menus & Banquet Staff was amazing. The outdoor pool Cocktail Reception Area also made for a very warm & memorable event.
