  I booked this hotel through Booking.com to Stay 4/6-9 and had until 4/5 at 4 pm to cancel. I called and cancelled reservations 4/4 FRIDAY!!! and received confirmation from booking.com. Then I get a called from Akki?- hotel person at 11:30 pm on 4/6 Sunday, saying I was going to be charged for no show!!! I told her I canceled it well in advance of the requirement day but she went ahead and charged it!! These people are totally incompetent or worse yet they're scamming people! I've called booking.com they got confirmation where they sent it to Holiday Inn on Friday!!! I've got confirmation where it was canceled, so either they're ignoring it or deleted it or again incompetent or scammers?! I absolutely would not stay here they fraudulently took $495 out of my account, now they are lying and telling booking.com I had a pet and that I was okay with being charged this amount which is crazy because I'd already booked another hotel. I don't have a pet.   Great Staff, terrible property.

  First of all Thank You to the staff at this hotel for being very helpful, polite, and professional. Sadly I can’t recommend this hotel. It’s in a terrible area with a noisy outdoor bar right next door so it’s loud until well after midnight. The location wasn’t close to any of the attractions. Riverwalk is in walking distance BUT I wouldn’t recommend walking back to hotel after dark. In our room the sofa had a huge tear in the cushions, there was at least an inch of dust coating the ceiling fan, the toilet seat was broken, the rack of shampoo/conditioner/body wash pumps had fallen off the shower wall and were empty, wifi cut out constantly and TV stopped working after it was on less than an hour. After this stay I’m done with all Holiday Inn Expresses as their quality and value are WAY too varied from property to property. Breakfast area was clean and well maintained but dining area was very small and really dark. Spend the few extra dollars and choose a better hotel than this one.   Family stay - San Antonio near downtown area

  The first impression is very important. You want to feel that you are welcomed to stay at their hotel. However, on this occasion, it started on the wrong foot. First, there was no one at the front desk. After a long trip, you want to sign in and rest. Well, I had to wait until the front desk person decided to come out. Also, this person must have been having a bad day!! She had attitude towards me as I was signing it. Not good! Next, I wanted a hotel that could accommodate my elderly parent and the rest of the family. In that sense, the room did have handicap tub accessories. However, there was a large table near the front door; therefore, entrance for a handicap/wheelchair was troublesome. Next, the hotel is located in a corner on the outskirts of downtown (It did not feel safe to me). Also, a restaurant/bar is located next to the hotel. You guessed it, loud music was played until after midnight on Friday and later on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Not cool!! When you go to a hotel, you want peace and quiet, not to be an unwilling participant at a "party." In addition, there appeared to a group of pre-teen/teenagers (some type of competition group). However, the parents apparently have not taught this young people to respect others. Some of those kids were staying on the safe floor (I'm assuming with their parents/chaperones) but they were allowed to get loud, yell at each other, and run down the halls. Long story short, I will not be staying at this specific hotel the next time that I travel to San Antonio. I've stayed at other IHG hotels and have been treated with courtesy and respect on those occasions. Oh, before I forget, the room was "NASTY" in reference to cleanliness. There was "stuff" on the toilet seat and my child was grossed out by multiple hairs on a "clean" towel. I've never encountered such nastiness at any other hotel. If you decide to stay there, please look at the towels before you use them and make sure toilet is clean. No, I did not mention these things to the hotel manager because I did not want any confrontation in front of my family. Next time and next hotel, I'm not staying quiet.

  Nope, A big mistake.

  Old hotel in a scary location. Homeless outside along with other sketchy characters. Room seemed clean but hotel could use a refresh as it was dated and smelled musty throughout. Water at breakfast was brown with green chunks. Yikes! Disappointing for a Holiday inn.

  Exceeded Expectations for the most part.

  We spent 2 nights at this property and were very comfortable. We loved the location which was close to the Alamo and the Riverwalk as well as most other San Antonio attractions. We also loved the comfort of 2 rooms and 2 tvs. They accommodated us with daily room cleaning which we have found not to be the normal in our new covid world. My only negative was that the grab and go breakfast left a bit to be desired. Overall a very comfortable stay with wonderful staff.
