    Just Not it

    rating25 Mar 2026

I’d say it’s giving Motel 6 vibes, but that’s not really a fair comparison… for motel 6Property isn’t clean, is t convenient and although the grounds look nice online I would not recommend staying here.I’m booked for four nights, I checked in last night and am awake a 4 am looking for a different hotel. That says everything. Hyatt Vacation Club, Other at Hyatt Vacation Club at Wild Oak Ranch, responded to this review We appreciate your candid feedback and apologize for any inconvenience. Why Wild Oak Ranch is My Family's Go-To Getaway

    rating18 Mar 2026

Our family visits the Wild Oak Ranch at least twice a year. We have a family of 8 and it is one of the few places where we can find accommodations that allow everyone a space to relax in without splurging for an Airbnb. Why we keep coming back:Fully stocked kitchen with a dining room table we can all sit at. It's a hotel that allows us to cook in the room. This saves us a lot of time and money. We still go out and enjoy a couple fun meals but most of the time the kids would rather just pop in for a sandwich and head back out to the pool. The lazy river. I love a lazy river. It just feels like vacation. This lazy river is wonderful because it is shaded almost the entire way. There are some pavillions but we usually go for the recliners right on the river. I could honestly spend the entire day here. They also deliver food right to your chair and it taste great and is very reasonably priced, to include that pna colada that completes the vacation mode. The pool. My older kids spend the whole day at the pool. they usually have the volleyball net up and the kids meet new friends and play there. They also have a couple slides and several hottubs. So there is a lot of pool hopping going on. My little loves the pool and lazy river because both have the sloping walk-in so she can find a comfortable level and splash to her heart's content. Activities. They have random activities throughout the week. My girls always love to make slime and we attend at least one of the movies they host at night. It's right beside the pool and there is something about simming while watching Shrek that can be kind of magical. We also have to attend Karaoke. This is a blast and also by the pool so you can keep busy while waiting your turn. The audience always gives everyone a big cheer and the kids seem to have a blast. Yoga has become a favorite as well and they have this in the mornings to help get you moving. Smores. They have several large bonfire pits near the main office. They sell smore kits, which work great but we usually bring our own supplies to save on cost and have more. Either way you go it's a nice way to end the night. Early nights. Wild Oak Ranch is going to quiet down earlier than a lot of hotels. We actually like this aspect. Now that we have older children we will get a later dinner or just chill and play games. We have found we all feel so much more rested after our vacation here though because we get a lot of great sleep. If you have young children it is great because the whole area seems to settle down and you can get those kiddos to bed. Grills. They do have grills you can use near each building and it is fun to have a little barbeque one night as well if that's your thing. They also hav a mini golf course, corn hole, and life size jenga. If you wander around you will find random games and activities that keep you outside enjoying the sunny weather. Basketball and pickle ball are another activity my older kids will play around with. They also have a playground close by the younger kids can enjoy. All in all this is one of our favorite places to land to relax and recharge. High hopes-- dashed. Sad face

    rating13 Feb 2026

The 2 bedroom villa (6 person room) was beautiful until looking closer. Doors did not open or close properly (any). Hot water ran out before filling up jetted tub. 1 pan to cook with (2 pots). Toilets soooo short, almost blew a knee out getting up. No place to hang wet towels. Shower sprayed onto floor. Construction going on at complex next to ours, loud and a lot if extra vehicles. The grounds were beautiful but needed more lighting on the pathways (dangerous). Towels had to be turned in at hut, led to freezing walk back to room. We knew there was no real food on site nor daily room service, we did not want that anyway. 1 hot tub too hot, sauna out of order, lazy river not heated (after calling to make sure it was working before booking) 1 hot tub out of order, hot tub that worked was really rough(texture). Pool was nice temp but it was 65* while we were there. Not sure if there was mobility rentals or not, sure could have used this for my 80 yo mother to get to classes, pool and visit the property. Should have been a refund offered for all of the issues. I cannot imagine having a timeshare rental and not being able to use 1/2 of the amenities. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Paid too much for what we got. IMO Hyatt Vacation Club, Other at Hyatt Vacation Club at Wild Oak Ranch, responded to this review We appreciate your honesty and apologize for any inconvenience caused. High prices, limited services, and unclear communication resulted in a disappointing and misleading stay.

    rating26 Jan 2026

Despite premium pricing, the stay was marked by poor communication, closed facilities, and misleading expectations. From the very beginning, the check-in experience was confusing and inefficient. Although multiple papers were handed to me, the information provided was not communicated in a clear or practical manner. As a result, I was left without a proper understanding of basic hotel logistics. For example, obtaining pool towels required nearly 30 minutes of walking around the hotel, followed by returning to the lobby, only to be told that the towels were located elsewhere. There was no signage or prior explanation, and this information should have been clearly communicated at check-in.In addition, restaurant operations were poorly communicated. Restaurants close very early, which was not clearly stated. More importantly, I was explicitly informed that the restaurant would be serving breakfast on the weekend; however, when I arrived at the restaurant the following morning, it was closed. This discrepancy was only discovered after physically going to the restaurant.Regarding housekeeping, my room was not cleaned on the first day of my stay and was only serviced on the second day, without any prior notice or explanation. The heated pool was also misleadingly presented. The pool temperature does not adapt adequately to sudden drops in outdoor temperature. When the weather became significantly colder, the pool heating was insufficient, making it uncomfortable to use. Therefore, labeling the pool as “heated” creates an expectation that guests can comfortably swim regardless of weather conditions, which was not the case.Furthermore, many areas and facilities of the hotel were closed, with the explanation that this was due to the winter season. However, these closures were not disclosed in advance, which is critical information for guests when choosing accommodation. The steam room was open, while the sauna and changing rooms were closed, leaving no appropriate indoor space to change clothes. As a result, we were forced to change outdoors in approximately 24°F (-4°C) weather, which was both unreasonable and uncomfortable. Most importantly, I would like to emphasize the fundamental mismatch between price, expectations, and actual service delivered. This is a hotel where guests are charged nearly twice the average accommodation rate in the city, yet there is no properly usable warm pool, limited food options, and a significant portion of the facilities are closed without prior disclosure. Guests are effectively left on their own, despite paying a premium price for what is marketed as a full-service property.I would also like to raise a serious concern regarding pricing transparency on reservation platforms. The hotel initially appears to offer relatively competitive rates online; however, once guests arrive, substantial additional charges are applied, significantly increasing the final cost of the stay. I strongly advise future guests to read the reservation details very carefully and calculate the total cost in advance, as the final amount paid can be considerably higher than what is initially presented during booking.
