This hotel is located in the heart of historic San Antonio, just steps from Riverwalk and right beside the Alamo. SeaWorld and San Antonio Zoo are just a short drive away.

Facility

The hotel has 220 suites, which are located on 13 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Services include a laundry service. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony is included as standard in some rooms. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

The sports and entertainment facilities at the hotel ensure that guests have plenty of activities to choose from during their stay. Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area. Fine weather can be enjoyed on the terrace. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. After an eventful day, guests can work out and recharge in the gym.

Comfort and Value — Steps from the Alamo and Riverwalk

Excellent stay at the Sonesta ES Suites San Antonio Downtown. The location is hard to beat — steps from the Alamo and a short walk to the River Walk. The room was spotlessly clean with a full kitchen, making it feel more like a home than a hotel. Breakfast, a pool and gym, and on-site parking round out an already great package. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Horrible Customer Service! I was told I would be charged $45 for parking when I checked in. Unfortunately I wasn’t told it would be per day until after I called to complain. I was never explained that you had to book/reserve housekeeping services. Breakfast was very limited cold and disgusting. Rooms had no towels or toilet paper. Not enough staff. Phone in rooms never worked. Called about the charge and all they could do was apologize and offer me points. At this point I could care less about points or ever staying at any of their properties again. I do not recommend this place.

I met so many cool people inside and outside of the hotel! I visited the horse and carriage drivers, I was concerned about the horses and how they were handled and each one was so friendly and happy to tell me more about them. I actually got to pet one, never experienced before, they are so majestic and beautiful:) I met and talked with a few of the homeless people too, great conversations. Shout out to front desk staff Maria, front desk upon arrival, the young guy with glasses that worked the night shift, can't remember his name because it was brief, but the conversation was memorable! I let him know about a hidden jewel of a basketball court nearby with murals, and he offered me some encouragement. The lady with the braids for housekeeping, so patient with me, I like cleaning up myself, appreciate her haha! Loh/Eli, and some of the technical/handyman/operations crew on our way out, so personable! I don't leave many reviews. Best stay at a hotel I ever had:)

Awesome Family Friendly Stay near Alamo

Our family loved the people that were friendly and professional. Our room was fantastic with close access to Alamo, Riverwalk and all of the sites in the Alamo area. We had safety excellent parking and even the people watching cars were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was awesome and well -stocked. Our kitchenette was more than adequate and neatly arranged. All of the futures were new and modern. We are coming back next Spring 2027 to make more memories.

Well. The thing with this place and all other hotels are you PAY for parking. 45 is what we paid and that was per day . So. Be prepared.also , the hotel is very outdated. The water trickled out of the shower and carpets were dirty. I would give it less stars , but free breakfast was decent and staff was very nice. Corporation needs major updates.
