Location

The hotel is located along the banks of the Riverwalk, close to all the wonderful sites the city of San Antonio has to offer. The nearest train station is situated approximately 1 km away.

Facility

The property includes 9 villas/houses as well as 265 suites, 170 single rooms and 95 double rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Rooms

All rooms are carpeted and include a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and bathrobes are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are also available. The hotel has non-smoking rooms.

The pleasantly heated water of the indoor and outdoor pools guarantees comfortable swimming. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. Comfortable sun loungers are available on the terrace.     We have stayed at the Hotel Contessa at least 3 times. It is a lovely hotel and has a very convenient location. We had several issues with our last stay. This hotel nickels and dimes you for everything. Parking is $59.00/day plus tax. They charge you a $20.00 amenity fee. Then there is a tax on the amenity fee. But the real irritant is that they are now charging you a credit surcharge of 3%. Seriously, who doesn't pay a hotel bill with a credit card?I have tried contacting the hotel three times via different email addresses including one on their own website that was going to the front desk. I have not had one response.

    Just wanted to take the time to let you know how outstanding Francisco in the Ambler restaurant took care of us. He didn’t miss a beat to get our food perfect. Always making sure we didn’t need anything. We stayed several nights and he greeted us like we were family.

    The 5 stars are for Front desk Associate Abbas is the best! He made our trip memorable for my family and was very accommodating. This is a busy hotel, valet was pricey and hectic at check out time. But they worked it the best they could, it is just a small space to move the cars in and out.
