  Location was great, but I will stay somewhere else next time.

  Though the price is friendly, the place could use some cleanliness. Regardless of the price is, tidiness should be one of the priorities. secondly, soundproofing is poor as well. We could hear the occupants next room. AC/ heater was not reliable.   Terrible: Plan on not sleeping at all

  I only interacted with the person at the front desk once (upon check in). She was totally pleasant and professional. The room was spartan, but that's o.k. (the price is lower). The AC worked fine. I stayed for 2 nights. This is a terrible place to stay because people go there to party and it is so, so loud all night (including the thump thumping sounds above me at 2 a.m. of wild guests). With all the noise (and total lack of sound proofing) and the loud, partying guests everywhere, it feels generally sleazy and sketchy. It is cheaper, but if you can stretch another 20-50 dollars for a nicer place, it will likely be well, well worth it. Otherwise, sleep will be a precious need you likely won't find there.   Location, clean, quiet, beat my expectations. I was surprised and impressed with the overall quality. I would refer friends and family to stay here if they needed too. I think this hotel can only get better and better.

  As a government contractor, I have stayed at many hotels, both domestically and abroad. I found the best lodge to exceed my expectations and allow me to get a good nights sleep. The rooms are simple, but have everything you need. I found the stuff, to be most helpful, especially Joy! She went above and beyond to make sure that I had reservations. My only negative feedback would be that the room maids did not always clean the room however, upon contacting the front desk, they always made sure I had fresh sheets towels, and toiletries. This lodging is close to all, the airport, or town, trolley station, Seaworld, and beaches. Definitely recommend this property.

  Worst hotel in San diego

  I've stayed at the America's best value Loma Lodge three times now in my time in San Diego and I must say it is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my entire life. Here are a few reasons why the staff has no respect like I said I've stayed there three times and for some reason all three times have stayed there the staff has found a reason to threaten to call the police on me though I've never committed a crime threatened or done anything to them. Another reason why they straight up Rob me for my money I checked in through a third party app at the time that I said I was going to check in yeah when I went to check in because of a typo of one letter in my name the America's Best value inn Loma Lodge took 151 from me but did not let me check in there for the typo was not a big enough deal for them to not take my money because the names didn't match on my ID and my credit card but it was a big enough deal for them not to let me check in and therefore charge me for that night. The third reason and final reason is that the staff / family that owns and operates the America's Best value inn at Loma Lodge has without warning barged in my room with a nightstick and tried to keep me captive there because he said that I was involved in the stealing of some documents that occurred weeks prior now mind you I do not live in San Diego therefore I was not in San Diego at the time of whatever occurred occurred but he proceeded to try to keep me hostage against my will when I was injured and on crutches and proceeded the chase me down the street until I finally fell down further injuring myself I'm now contemplating a lawsuit against said hotel pp Guest Services, Guest Services / Front Office at Americas Best Value Inn Loma Lodge, responded to this review There are not enough words to express how sorry we are for your experience.
