    What we expected given the price downtown

    The staff was friendly, the price was right for a place to rest our heads at night. The rooms themselves reflected the price. Very outdated, uncomfortable beds and pillows, and the breakfast in the morning was mostly inedible, unfortunately. We didn’t expect much with the price downtown like that, so got what we expected.

    great location to explore San Diego. walkable to waterfront, Seaport, Little Italy, Gaslamp. Front desk Stephanie was so very kind and helpful. Good basic continental breakfast. Rooms very clean.

    Stay away - Bugs, ants, and mushy shower floor

    In my first room, there were ants on the bed. I was moved to an alternative room. In this room, I found cockroach nymph. Extremely disgusting. I had to leave the hotel early, and head to the nearest laundromat to deep clean my clothes (worn and unworn) clothes to ensure I wasn't going to take any back with me. I had to cut my trip short because of this. In addition, the shower is unsafe. The shower floor is mushy/spongy shower floor, which means there is likely water damage, where moisture has seeped into and weakened the subfloor. This is unsafe and unsanitary.

    After waiting too long to book a hotel for SDCC, I ended up doing a stay here on the most expensive night of SDCC (Friday). I was a bit nervous after all the reviews, but I should know by now not to rely solely on reviews.The staff were great and let me leave my car there before my room was ready. The room was very clean. Only odd thing was the teeny tiny bathtub in the shower. I have no idea who designed that. The room had a microwave and fridge. Parking in the main lot was a bit of a pain since it was so busy but we always found a spot. The breakfast was better than we expected. Overall it was a great stay in a nearly great location for SDCC and we'd definitely stay there again.

    The room was not upgraded smelled of smoke old furniture and bad plumbing. Didn’t feel safe at all not a place I would book ever again. They also blame you for damages that are pre existing. Trash hotel in downtown San Diego
