Sasha is the best Beach Village Concierge!!

    rating08 Jun 2026

We had an amazing stay at Hotel del Coronado Beach Village while celebrating a special family occasion, and Sasha, our concierge, truly helped ensure the experience was unforgettable. She went above and beyond to make everything special, from coordinating our room decor request beautifully and arranging custom desserts with their chef, to ordering gorgeous flowers and helping secure dinner reservations at our favorite restaurant.Sasha’s service was exceptional as she frequently checked on us. She showed kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail throughout our stay. We felt well cared for and genuinely appreciated all the thoughtful touches that made our trip so memorable. Sasha is the best, and the team overall was great. They were very friendly, covered for each other well when Sasha left for the day. They even got us into a sold out tour on our last night. But we definitely want to acknowledge Sasha and extend our biggest thank you to her for helping create such a wonderful experience!

    Amazing

    rating07 Jun 2026

This hotel is amazing! One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at. The restaurants on the property are amazing and the service is great! However the rooms you can hear everything from the neighbor next to you and also the stomping from the people above. We were woken up several times in the middle of the night from people running around upstairs and also from the connecting room next to us. For the price you pay to stay here you would think this wouldn’t be an issue. I would say this was the only downfall staying here. I also was trying to book experiences for my husbands birthday and make it extra special and was sending emails back and forth and for some reason they stopped responding to me. I had to call several times to get a response I also thought that was a bit rude.

    Horrible LXR Beach Village Experience

    rating07 Jun 2026

Beware - Hotel Del can run huge conventions - days of ugly scaffolds, trailers, heavy equipment, loud and noisy crowds - all over the beach right in front of Beach Village, as happened when we were there. My partner bought this stay for us. He first looked at one of the super-expensive cottages, until we realized that, despite the name, they're really just a bunch of suites in 2 story buildings. We also now realize those suites would have had nothing but a horrible front row view of this huge convention, so we're thankful we didn't stay there. Further back is called the villas (again, despite the name, really just a bunch of suites in multi-story buildings) At least it wasn't quite as noisy being further back from the convention. But even without the disruption of the convention, the suite was very ordinary, just the typical stuff that you can get in so many San Diego beach hotels at a much less expensive price. The suites are also narrow and dark in some rooms, and you can hear everything going on next to you. This whole enclave is separated from the sand by a crowded public boardwalk. Plus as I said the entire beach in front of this place can be booked for noisy convention events that will block your view and fence off the entire area. It was a big disappointment, not at all what it seemed to be on its website. All the names and descriptions felt like a bunch of marketing hype. When we travel, my partner is happy to pay for quality, and lucky to be able to do so. But this LXR place was just mediocre, overpriced and totally not worth it.

    Amazing Time!

    rating29 May 2026

Amazing time with our kids and grandkids! It is hands down all of our favorite place to vacation! We love hanging at one of the private side pools and usually have it to ourselves. The remodeled rooms are amazing and comfortable for extended families. We will be back!

Excellent hotel but less ideal with bad neighbors

    rating28 May 2026

We really enjoy staying at the Beach Villages and try to return several times a year. It is a beautiful oceanfront property on the shores of Coronado, with wonderful views of the waves, easy beach access, multiple pools, and private lounge chairs on the beach. The suites with fire pits are especially nice for cooler mornings and evenings, and the rooms have also been upgraded within the last few years, which makes the stay feel even more comfortable.Another thing we appreciate is how much is available on site. There are great restaurant options at the Hotel Del, including Nobu, and Beach Villages now offers room service for all three meals, which is a very convenient improvement. Having a full kitchen in the suite is also a big plus, especially for longer stays. The only reason I took off one star from this visit was because of an issue with neighboring guests. The layout of some of the ocean-facing decks means that the outdoor areas are close together, with partitions between units. Normally that has not been a problem for us. On this trip, however, our neighbors repeatedly played very loud music with explicit lyrics, and asking them to lower the volume only seemed to make the situation worse.Security responded professionally and spoke with them more than once, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, even after security had spoken with them, one of the neighboring guests continued to intrude into our space by repeatedly putting her head over the partition and making passive-aggressive comments toward us. It made it very uncomfortable to remain outside on our own deck, especially when we were simply trying to enjoy the sunset and the ocean view. When we ate dinner outside on our last night, the table was right next to the room partition, and the behavior continued. At one point, they increased the volume even more and made comments along the lines of hoping we would go inside. It was disappointing because the outdoor space, views, and ability to enjoy the waves are such a special part of staying at the Beach Villages. That said, I want to be very clear that Sandra Rodriguez and the Beach Villages team were exceptional. Sandra has always gone above and beyond to make our stays special, and she and her team handled the situation as professionally and thoughtfully as possible. Security also did a great job responding to the issue. They came out, spoke with the guests more than once, and did what they could within the circumstances. We appreciated how seriously both Sandra’s team and security took the situation. We have never experienced that kind of issue at the Beach Villages before, and we hope not to again. Overall, this remains a special property with beautiful views, excellent amenities, upgraded rooms, strong dining options, and a team that genuinely tries to take care of its guests. Sandra Rodriguez and the Beach Villages team are a big part of why we continue to come back.
