    It's affordable, and you get what you pay for. The room I stayed in needed serious upgrades. Smelled of mold, dampness, and dog. The shower was held together with caulk, the lighting is yellow and dim, no smart TV to stream content, the AC was loud and damp, the people above my room stomped around at 1-2am, and it was not a good experience. I've stayed in many Best Westerns across the US, and this one was not good. Find someplace else to stay.

    This is the best best western I've had the pleasure of staying at. The staff are kind and thoughtful. The location is two blocks from the beach, and close to lego land. They have rooms with a kitchenette and a modest gym. Will definitely stay here again.

    A most excellent property and place to stay in Southern California. Truly an all around amazing and wonderful experience from their fantastic customer care and service to the well laid out and beautifully appointed suites with full kitchen to the heated pool and hot tub area with comfortable day beds and plentiful loungers. The staff is genuinely warm and welcoming and the housekeeping is above and beyond most hotels at any star level. The hotel provides a wonderful breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, link sausage, self made waffles, pastries, cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, and very good coffee. It is in a great location a short walk from South Carlsbad State Beach, Ralphs Grocery Store, and many excellent restaurants of all levels, and a shopping center. Easy freeway access to all points from Orange County to San Diego. An exceptional staff really sets this property apart, from Lucinda at breakfast to Itzel, Amaris, Noel, Sergio, Sean at front desk, to Mariana and Veronica in housekeeping, to Joey and Gilbert in maintenance. Well done and thank you!
