Situated about 20 minutes north of Downtown San Diego and the San Diego International Airport (approximately 40 km), the hotel is far enough away from the hustle and bustle yet close enough to be within easy reach of everything in San Diego.

    Nicest Hotel in Downtown Poway

    Nicest Hotel in Downtown PowayOf the two hotels in downtown Poway, this is the nicer one. The rooms are large and comfortable. Unfortunately you can hear everything going on in the room directly behind yours. I could hear the man behind me singing in the shower at 5am and snoring at night. At one point a couple got into an argument in the parking lot in the wee hours of the morning. But the hotel is pet friendly, even to the point of providing a pet run, which I have not seen before at any hotel. The staff was friendly but the maid failed to clean the room (a pet peeve of mine). I have stayed here before, and likely will again.

    This is our second home we live in TJ and when we feel like avoiding the border we like to stay here , it’s quiet and clean and of course SAM at the front desk is always welcoming when he sees us coming 😊 He checks us in quick always sets the tone for our stay thank you ☺️

    Great service, clean room! Customer service was fantastic! They went beyond and above whatever we requested. Very friendly and accommodating! Free breakfast was awesome! Our ONLY negative was the carpet was dirty in our room. But bathroom and rest of room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Would return if in area again! Great place!

    Service was top notch, and the room was very clean and comfortable. Lani, the front desk agent was friendly and accommodating. Pricing was reasonable and it was overall a very nice experience, and I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. I will definitely be returning if I am ever to stay in that area again.

    The bathtub had rust and the caulking around the tub looked moldy. The mattress seemed old and without much support. The closet door was broken. We have stayed at other Best Western Hotels, although not for a long time, and this one was far below others we've stayed at.
