    Nothing amazing, just a bed for the night

    Conveniently located if you want to be close to pubs and clubs. Many homeless people hanging around in the close location, noisy at night. Room clean and fairly comfortable, beds not very comfy but it will do for a night. We stayed two nights, one would have been enough. Staff ok, not that friendly, but it does the job. Breakfast best be taken elsewhere, i tasted it a bit, ended up just having a coffee. Staff were good keeping our luggage whilst we went out for the day to see old town and go up to the airport to hire a car.

    Ideally located in the Gaslamp Quarter, this hotel shows its age with constant external noise. We were on the 4th floor but still suffered. The included breakfast was ok and our room was small but comfortable with the rather strange basin in the room and not the bathroom.All the staff were friendly but room cleaning was not daily.Would we come again? Probably not.

    Comfort Inn is in a great location -- near lots of attractions and restaurants, easy walking distance to the Hop On Hop Off tour bus and the Convention Center. Staff is very friendly and helpful, it's a full breakfast (not continental) and there are laundry facilities if needed. Ask for a room that faces the back of the hotel -- traffic is noisy on the front. There are some homeless people sleeping around the area but we were never approached or felt unsafe.

    I stayed at the hotel during a conference in October 2024. The hotel was around a 15 minute walk from the convention centre. There were homeless people around but they weren't troublesome and I felt safe walking to and from the Convention Centre, and even heading out in an evening on my own to get dinner in the Gaslamp Quarter. The area is busy, there are lots of restaurants and bars so I didn't feel isolated. The hotel always had someone helpful and polite on reception. There was coffee, water and fruit always available in reception too. The staff were happy to store your luggage before check in and after check out. They can call you a cab to the airport. However, there is a bus stop around 3 blocks away which can take you to the airport at a fraction of the cost. There is a nice reception room with chairs and a little courtyard to sit out if you wanted. There are no wc's in the reception area though.The room I had did not have a great view, but I wasn't bothered. The bed was comfortable, there was always hot water for showers, the room was small but not poky, it was clean, there were toiletries provided.There were some noise issues. The hotel is not far from the Gaslamp Quarter. You could hear cars and people outside. The other noise was from the water system when people in the next room were showering. This in particular could be quite loud, and a bit distracting, if you are on conference calls, or needing quiet time. There was a breakfast every morning, with eggs, sausages, pancakes, toast, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, muffins, bagels, juice and coffee. I knew there would be breakfast, but thought it would be minimal. I was pleasantly surprised that there were some hot options available.Overall, I was quite happy to stay here, and I would choose to stay here again for a good value and convenient choice for the gaslamp district and convention centre.

    THe visit of #29 ballpark when they play the TIgers

    Everything was great! Desk staff was helpful. Breakfast was fantastic-they had bev, breads,pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage and fruit. They are close to the ballpark as it took about 10 minutes to get there. There is many restaurants and stores all around it. Go to the right of the hotel, next block, right and half way down is a Excellent store-deli. They had airport shuttle but not anymore
