  Stay away from this hotel the Manager Alex is very unprofessional. He will project against guests when called out on his actions of assumptions and false accusations towards guests. He gives guests a hard time when checking in, even when being shown the confirmation email. The room we stayed had issues with TV not working and there was no running water in the room. It is very inconvenient that these things are not taken care of by the Manager. It is an inconvenience for guest that are tired to have to go and let someone know of the issues in the room especially when there was a bad experience during check in. San Marcos is such a beautiful city to have a spot like this not meeti it's communities expectations.

  DO NOT STAY HERE. I had an employee open the door during my stay very early. I was screaming that I was in there, but they proceeded to open it completely and didn't take accountability. The manager said it was human error. This hotel is UNSAFE. Aside from the employees opening the door. There is people wandering the hotel all night and you are able to hear screams and them talking in the halls. I noticed many people sleeping in the parking lot.

  Needed rest before work which was conveniently nearby. I slept comfortably and woke up on time to get to work well rested and feeling great. I enjoyed everything about the trip from arrival until departure. Was the best sleep I've had in months, thank you!

  I was with my daughter. And tge smmell oif the room is awful. There were so little choices the breakfast they serve.

  Stayed here one night with my 10 year old daughter for a nearby wedding. Parking lot was sketchy, hallways were very old and worn out. Room was cleanish. No smoke odor. Walls are VERY!!! thin and you can hear every car passing on the freeway, every word said next door and every person who walks down the hall. We were slated for two nights and left after one. Why? Because the tenants in the room next door serenaded us with loud screaming sex from 1am to 5am and were thudding against the walls and dirty talking each other. WE COULD HEAR EVERYTHING! The wall thuds were making our own bedframe vibrate! I called down to the office twice to ask security to deal with it and nobody answered the phone. I wasn't going in person because it meant leaving my child in the room alone. So I stayed awake from 1am to a little after 5 with my hands over my child's ears while she dozed off and on beside me. It was MISERABLE. At about 5am another tenant thundered down the hall, banged on their door and told them off. A ten minute shouting match followed because evidently the man next door thought it was his and his woman's right to keep us all awake and expose children to their rutting pig noises. But they did cave and shut up after that. I got 1 1/2 hours of sleep. That's it, and we bailed at 7am for another hotel who took us in last minute. I was exhausted from being up almost all night and it killed the rest of our trip.I did complain to the front desk at checkout and was told I should have called down to have staff shut down the porn party. I DID!!! TWICE!!!No refund was given for the 2nd night. Never again! Not this Days Inn or any other.
