  Near Death experience of my toddler

  If you’re looking for a hotel to experience a traumatic and near death experience of your toddler, look no further, the Double Tree San Diego Hotel Circle. This is a great place to have their director of HR, Roxanna Espinosa, drive erratically through the parking lot and come within a few inches of running your toddler over with her car. Then this director of HR will give you and your whole family the middle finger and tell you to F off. We confronted her in the building where she slammed the door to the HR office in our faces. We filed an official incident report which was escalated to the executive team who owns the hotel, Khanna Enterprises, and when we followed up to see what the result of their investigation was in regard to this employee. We were informed she was “reprimanded”. So don’t worry, you still have chance to potentially enjoy the same traumatic experience with your toddler one day as well! Please don’t forget to enjoy the $5 coffee you have to buy and a nice little bit of damage to your vehicle entering and exiting the parking lot due to the uneven surface on the entrance ramp.

  Bed bug bites

  I stayed here on August 29th and 30th 2026 for my grandson’s move-in day at USD, and on arrival I thought the hotel looked very clean and welcoming. My room itself was average but acceptable for the price. After my second night there I noticed large red marks on my back, shoulders and arms. I stopped taking two medications immediately, thinking I must be having an allergic reaction to one of them. However, since checking online for people with similar red marks, I now believe I have bed bug bites. More than three weeks after my stay at the hotel, I am on vacation in Italy in warm, sunny weather wearing clothes to cover up these unsightly marks. My daughter and grandchildren, who also stayed at the hotel on the same floor (the 9th floor) also have similar marks on their skin, although not as many as I do.I don’t like to have to report this and I have never had any negative experiences in the many times I have stayed at Hilton and Double Tree Hotels, but after reading other reviews referencing bed bugs at this particular hotel, I feel compelled to report my experience.

  Old and Run down

  Should be ashamed to call this establishment a Hilton brand. Entire hotel is old and run down. My 2 room suite lay out was nice but the carpet was ripped and had a huge whole in the middle of the floor. Stained carpet, stained lamp shades and a whole in the dirty sofa bed. Out dated furniture and hard towels. I only stayed one night. I will hesitate to ever booked a Hilton brand hotel again .

  best Beds Slept like a baby

  Samantha was incredibly helpful and made the entire process of getting to my room so easy. This was honestly one of the easiest check-ins I’ve ever experienced! Thank you for providing such a wonderful customer service experience.The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and I really had no complaints at all. I even received a cookie and a bottle of water upon checking in, which was such a thoughtful touch!I only stayed for one night, but I was very impressed with my experience and would definitely stay at this hotel again. Thank you, Samantha, and the entire team, for making my stay so pleasant!

  Updates sorely needed

  The first day we had to move rooms because of an ant infestation in the room. When we moved to another room, we got stuck in the elevator trying to go down. When I tried to call for help, the line went to the front desk where they put me on hold. So, I started pushing the alarm until I was told that they were sending engineering to fix. Our air conditioning in the second room wasn’t working even though we had it on 60 degrees. I called to have someone check it, but no one did, so I had to ask for someone to do it the next day. They called me this time and said the air conditioner needed major repair so they could move me to a new room. By this time, my family was over it, so we stayed in the room, although it was during a tropical storm so San Diego was 96 degrees at 11am, and I was sweating in the room.It was cooler in the hallway than in the room. The rooms are beyond outdated. Wallpaper is peeling, rust in the bath, water damage on the wood surfaces. It needs a complete overhaul to be updated. I asked for compensation and all they could give me is one free breakfast and free parking, which I guess is ok because the buffet was $33/person and parking is $33/day. The parking garage is hard to maneuver, even in our minivan. Any oversized vehicles or trucks would be stuck. Garage elevator never worked while we were there. The only saving grace was that the staff was very friendly. It wasn’t their fault that the company hasn’t invested money to provide a product that is satisfactory to guests. Oh, we didn’t get our cookies or water when we checked in either
