This contemporary California low-rise is located across the road from the Del Mar Fairgrounds and Racetrack and is 1.6 km from the beach. Flower Hill shops and dining are just 4 blocks away.

Facility

The hotel has 2 lifts and features 257 rooms and 13 suites. Guests are warmly welcomed by English- and French-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas.     Thank you to Amir and all of the staff here! Excellent service for our wedding party to stay at a hotel! We booked with Hilton San Diego/Del Mar, and the team was extremely considerate of our complex hotel bookings and room changes. We loved that the hotel has a pool, a hot tub (towels by the pool too), and a restaurant for all three meals of the day. The secure, locked parking lot is worth it for our peace of mind and all the rental cars.Since we used to live in the area, we knew it was full of restaurants and fun things to do on the coast.Our week-long wedding trip was definitely highlighted by this hotel!     Just an okay experience. This was one of the nosiest hotels I’ve stayed in. We could hear walking above us all the time. And hotel has some deferred maintenance especially in the bathrooms.     After a long drive, I checked in late on Saturday night. We were greeted with a smile by Brian at the front desk, 'Welcome to Hilton Del Mar, how may I assist you' He was personable, informative, and funny. Then, the next morning I had to change some things with my reservation, greeted again with a smile by Lorenzo, 'How may I assist you', same experience. Lorenzo was pleasant, kind, personable, and helpful. You have done a great job on hiring. Now there's Sabrina, TOP NOTCH leader!! She helped me before I arrived, and then again during my stay. Sabrina was professional, polite and exactly what you want leading your hotel. If she lived in Arizona, I'd hire her today. There's obviously a reason her team is how they are, she leads by example. I've been in hospitality for 28 years, this is the best hotel experience I've ever had. Thank you, Hilton Del Mar for making our quick trip memorable.     Terrible service. I am a diamond member i ask for some more water and they said “only 2 bottles per stay” I mean how much cost a bottle of water.Secondly, the internet did not worked and I missed a zoom metting, when i was leaving i told the front desk person that i expected a discount because of the internet and his response was “file a complaint” Guest Services, Owner at Hilton San Diego/del Mar, responded to this review I'm so sorry to hear about your experience, especially as a Diamond member. That’s not the service we aim to provide. We do have a limit on complimentary water bottles, but I understand how it seems small. As for the internet issues, that’s really unfortunate—you should never miss a meeting because of connectivity problems. I’ll be sure to pass your feedback along to the team. Thanks for sharing.

    I am impressed: the staff are patient, friendly, accommodating, and laugh at my jokes. The pool, spa, and indoor areas are immaculately clean. I am here after an absence of 19 years to find work and a home, so my stress and anxiety are living inside me, but.... being here calms me down. Oh, the restaurants are divine. I have to say, after living in Santa Fe, NM for 11 years, the Quesadilla is top drawer! Yes, I recommend this hotel for a retreat. Shoutout to Sabrina, Frank, Lorenzo, Trevor, Adam, Jeremy, Peyton, and the breakfast staff!
