Guests are warmly welcomed by English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. Yet another stay in paradise

Humphreys is a tropical get away. The grounds are gorgeous with lots of palm trees, activities on the lawn, & an amazing pool/Jacuzzi area. The reception area has a beautiful remodel & the friendly staff is always available. Very nice and quiet resort close to the airport and zoo. Large pool and hot tub with poolside bar. Food was excellent. Room was spacious and clean. The location was great you could walk around to a few places and see the harbor. The room was a good size and comfortable. The shower got really hot. There was some deferred maintaince in our room like peeling wall paper. There was a small fridge thst worked well. We were right by the pool. The room was not well soundproof and each night the people around us made lots of noise into the early morning hours. It was rough sleeping. The pool was nice woth a 9 ft deep end. The staff did not do a good job or cleaning up around the pool or making sure there were always pool towels available. Staff was helpful and friendly at check in. Humphrey's is simply wonderful. The pool area and the fire pits -- it's like you're in another world. The rooms are large and comfortable. The view of the marina is cool. The cost is competitive with the mid-chains but the experience is so much better. Shelter Island is an awesome location. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could.
