  The hotel is beyond needing to be updated. The bathroom was small and had water damage all through out. The plugs are so old that we had to move the tv stand to be able to find a plug where are electronics could be plugged in. The bedding had holes in it. The AC is pretty much rusted and useless. The best part of this hotel was the food truck that is open daily.

  We stayed at the Ocean Villa Inn for 3 nights in July 2025. The room was clean and appropriately sized for the category.However, we had a major annoyance: a few days earlier, we had forgotten a tablet at another hotel and had it sent to the Ocean Villa Inn, assuming that it would arrive in time.Unfortunately, the tablet only arrived after we had checked out of the Ocean Villa Inn, so we arranged with the Front Desk Manager that they would send it to our home in Switzerland, they promised. Of course, we would cover the shipping costs.At first, we heard nothing for five(!) weeks. Then, after several phone calls and numerous emails, it turned out that shipping via UPS or DHL or something similar would cost more than the tablet itself was worth. So we asked the front desk management to ship it via regular US Postal Service. Since it did not seem possible to charge our credit card without our physical presence, we asked the front desk management to pay for the postage in cash and give us an address where we could transfer the amount. This has still not happened! The Ocean Villa Inn distrusts us sending them $30 for the postage, even though we spent over 800 USD for the 3 nights we stayed there! After months of back and forth and still waiting in vain, we felt robbed of the tablet by the Ocean Villa Inn and bought a new one ourselves. What a bad experience!

  Cheap renovation of my room but the mold on the wall in the bathroom and closet area still has mold and water damage.

  Don’t waste your money. They charged me $350/night for a room not worth a third of the cost. Downsides:Website from App does not provide pet rules which you are forced to sign upon check in. No where does it say you can’t leave your dog alone in room at anytime. This greatly hinders plans you made for your stay and is a rude surprise upon check in. Website says every room has a microwave. Room 30 has no microwave available. Front door to room has 1/8 to 1/4 gaps at edges so noise and sand travel in freelySliding glass door to deck not maintained and it takes 2 hands and brute force to open and close it as scraping noise occursOnly 1 panel of curtain per each side of door instead of 4 so there is no privacy and you can see directly into the bed at night. This also means Sun pours in at sunrise. Curtain rod should be mounted 3 additional inches wider to allow to cover this gap. Lights next to beds have low wattage yellow lights which make it poor bedside reading lighting.Room only has one side chair that is actually made for a restaurant. No table or desk to work on, eat at, or play games at… there is room for a small table or desk and 2 chairs. There’s nothing that makes you want to stay in and use this room beyond sleeping and bathing. I’m Over head light is a glaring blue light similar to commercial spaces or public bathrooms Bed pillows are beat up and very very thin. Approximately 4-4.5” thick. They are difficult to sleep with and need to be replaced. Only 2 hangars provided in the closetNo towel rods by vanity or in shower room, just one single hook. Where does the second person hang up their towel? Where do you hand your wet bathing suits or beach towels. This is just poor planning and cheap remodeling without thinking about customers.Shower glass panel and door improperly installed. The plastic edge which keeps water from spraying out does not line up because it’s installed crooked. I touched at one end and leaves a .25” plus gap at the other end where water floods on floor.The LVP flooring in the bathroom is improperly cut and installed so there is a large piece of flooring missing in the middle of the floor. The floor between the toilet and tub has a spongy area which could denote a sub flooring issue. The installer never bothered to remove the pencil/pen cut markings where they cut at doorways. A cheap, amateurish, improper flooring installation. Bathroom Mold: the wall and floor molding outside the shower and around the doorway into the vanity area gets so much water continually that the wall and molding are wet, discolored greatly, and covered in black mold that’s growing. A piece of baseboard was fit in improperly and .25” gaps are on either side. This is allowing water to intrude behind it and has black mold growing on it. There is a sliding barn door between the hall way and vanity/closet area with no inside handle. If you are inside the vanity/closet area and the door is closed you have no handle or inset finger hold to push the door open. A person can easily get trapped in the space.No soap dish at vanity . A small item but without it the soap causes a mess on the countertop Conditioner and shampoo is ok. Bodywash smells like OFF mosquito repellent. Black mold growing where this is attached to wall. No soap holder in shower so the bar soap at vanity cannot easily be used instead of bodywash. A lack of trash cans outside the room or in parking lot. This means if you bring food back to room and it is pungent there is no place to throw out your smelly trash that’s easily found. No phone numbers posted in room for emergencies or to even call the front desk. Upside:Location

  We stayed in Room 14, first floor, with a child, and one medium size dog, two queen beds. Place is pet friendly, but extremely worn down. Room is spacious, but gives the ick. The towels look like rags. One towel had what looked like yellow pee on it- Towel was folded sitting on the toilet- Picture for reference. Bathroom had a lot of mold, cracking/flaking off paint, curtain rod was rusted all over. The pillows inside the pillowcase looked so old. I would never stay here again. The patio connects to everyone else’s patio so your neighbors and their pets pass by your glass sliding door at any time. No head board on beds. Smelled like dog feces. Forced a/c was so loud. There was a futon in our room that had a blanket covering it. I didn’t want to see why. This place was disgusting. We got there super late, after midnight and packed up by 8am. We booked through booking . com and it’s been a nightmare trying to get a refund. This is definitely how this place makes their money- people leave early and they don’t refund, repeat. You can find a reputable chain for the same price, might not be beachfront, but you’ll actually enjoy your stay.

  I organize several groups of 8-12 people for a few nights every spring. This weekend I dropped off 6 friends at 3pm when EVERY other hotel has check in. But not here! 4pm. Period. When I asked if they could just get one room so they could stow their luggage and get a little settled, the answer was NO. There must be some rooms clean by 3pm if all of them will be clean at 4. Don’t expect good customer service here. No one cares.
