They should only do cash deposits to eliminate charging your card excessively or not returning your deposit within a reasonable time. It has been five business days and no return deposit.

Reservation Beware
27 Apr 2026
Reservation beware if you have kids this might not be the place for you as there is guests standing outside their rooms smoking cannabis. The rooms for a non-smoking room smell as if someone just smoked in there. The parking is ok if you get there early not enough parking space and don't get me started on the 20–30-minute check in wait to get to my room. This is not a family friendly place unless you are staying a night, but the location is great if you don't mind the issues mentioned. Joelene Escobedo, Sales at Super 8 By Wyndham San Diego Hotel Circle, responded to this review Dear Valued Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that your stay did not meet expectations, especially when traveling with your family. We want to be clear that we are a non-smoking property, and this includes cannabis. What you described is not acceptable, and we are actively reinforcing our policies with guests and increasing monitoring to ensure compliance. Your comments regarding room odor are equally concerning and have been addressed with our housekeeping and inspection teams to ensure standards are consistently met.We also apologize for the extended check-in wait time. This is not the experience we aim to provide, and we are working with our front desk team to improve efficiency and staffing during peak periods. Parking can be limited during high occupancy, but we continue to look for ways to better manage availability and set clear expectations with guests. While we’re glad you found the location convenient, we understand that the other concerns impacted your stay. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify areas where we need to improve.Sincerely,Super 8 Management & Team

Unfortunate stay
04 Apr 2026
We stayed one night at this hotel as we had a business meeting scheduled the following day and had an uncomfortable experience. When my wife and I went to sleep we found blood stains on the sheets near our heads which we found to be quite gross. Then while we slept someone was heard walking down the hallway knocking on guest room windows around 4 am as well as ours which was a little scary. The other problem is that we could hear the cleaning carts rolling down the hallways as they were wood floors and annoying very early in the morning. Joelene Escobedo, Sales at Super 8 By Wyndham San Diego Hotel Circle, responded to this review Dear Valued Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the experience you described—this is not the level of cleanliness or comfort we aim to provide.Your comments regarding the condition of the linens are very concerning, and we have addressed this immediately with our housekeeping team to ensure proper inspection procedures are consistently followed. Cleanliness is a top priority, and situations like this are taken seriously. We are also troubled to hear about the disturbance overnight. Guest safety and security are extremely important to us, and we are reviewing this with our team to better understand what occurred and reinforce monitoring protocols during overnight hours.Regarding the noise from housekeeping in the morning, we understand how this could be disruptive and will continue working with our team to be more mindful of noise levels, especially during early hours. We truly appreciate your feedback as it allows us to improve. We regret that your stay was impacted and hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to provide a much better experience.Sincerely,Super 8 Management & Team

Friendly and helpful
23 Mar 2026
Very friendly and helpful, I made the poor choice of using the best (worst) western next door. They strong arm you into buying their cafe food by not providing a microwave anywhere on property, when I walked over to super 8 they microwaved my food with a smile. Stay here not the sh***y western. Joelene Escobedo, Sales at Super 8 By Wyndham San Diego Hotel Circle, responded to this review Dear Valued Guest,Thank you for your 5-star review! We’re glad our team could assist and provide a friendly, helpful experience when you needed it. Going the extra mile for guests is exactly what we strive for.We appreciate your feedback and your recommendation, and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.Sincerely, Super 8 Management & Team
