Location

This family-friendly hotel enjoys a perfect location and San Diego's temperate climate, with a warm ocean breeze all year round. The hotel is located near the beach boardwalk and local area attractions. Mission Bay Park is one of San Diego's most popular locations and 1.6 km from the hotel. The park is lined with water-view paths throughout, perfect for walking or jogging. In addition, there are a variety of playgrounds for children and picnic areas with fire rings for grilling. Located on the beach in San Diego, Belmont Park features amusement park rides, arcades, miniature golf, indoor swimming, shopping and dining. This park is an exciting way to spend the day and night with family and friends. Petco Park, just 20 km from the hotel, is home of the San Diego Padres, and is much more than just a ball park. This location showcases world-class concerts and other entertainment. In addition, it is an amazing venue for special events featuring views of the San Diego Bay and skyline.

Facility

3 junior suites, 3 suites, 40 apartments, 70 single rooms and 48 double rooms are available to guests in a 3-storey main building and a 3-storey auxiliary building. Guests are warmly welcomed by English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. There are a number of shops as well. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include room service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. There is also a washing machine and an ironing set. A telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a stereo system, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath are included the bathrooms. A hairdryer and bathrobes are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

The pleasantly heated water of the outdoor pool area guarantees comfortable swimming. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. Those who wish to stay active while on holiday can enjoy on-site golf. For a fee, cycling/mountain biking is also available. With kayaking or, for a fee, water skiing, sailing and snorkelling available, fans of water sports have plenty of options to choose from. The fitness rooms are perfect for a comprehensive workout.     Steps from the beach, fabulous poolside amenities, a cafe, the attentive staff, and after a long fun day there’s top notch bedding for a great nights sleep. Like we do, I think you’ll choose the Wayfarer year after year.

    The most wonderful staff and employees unbelievably awesome. There is also no way to beat the view and the many places to sit plus pool and hot tub. Just the best!!! Plus a cafe and a famous restaurant next door!!! Wish we could have stayed longer. Cerebrating our 50th wedding anniversary.     This hotel has been absolutely amazing. From before we even checked in, the staff has gone above and beyond to make our family feel welcome and cared for. Every single person we’ve interacted with has been incredibly kind, accommodating, and genuinely helpful. It honestly reminds me of staying at the Disneyland Hotel — the level of hospitality is that good. They truly make you feel like they would give you the shirt off their back if you needed it.We were traveling with a child who has sensory and anxiety needs, and the team took so much time to thoughtfully help us find the best room location for our family. They listened, cared, communicated openly, and never made us feel like an inconvenience.     Perfect location at the border of Mission Beach & Pacific Beach in San Diego. Parking lot on site (for an extra fee). Clean, nice, updated rooms. Beach access with option to rent boards. Everything you need is within walking distance unless you want to drive up to La Jolla for the tide pools or to see the sea lions. Really friendly staff on site for anything you need. Will definitely stay here again.
