  Unsanitary Conditions and Failure to Honor Refund Agreement

  I am writing this review to warn future guests about the lack of cleanliness and the dishonest business practices at the Old Town Western Inn.Upon checking into my room, it was immediately clear that the facility does not meet basic hygiene standards. The room was noticeably dirty and permeated by a strong, persistent mold smell. Most disturbingly, the towels provided in the bathroom had hair on them, indicating they had not been properly laundered between guests.Due to these unsanitary conditions, I checked out early and requested a refund for my remaining three nights. Management responded with a formal email confirming their agreement to refund the full balance. However, they failed to honor their own written commitment and only processed a refund for two nights.When I followed up to address this discrepancy and recover the remaining funds they contractually agreed to return, the management was dismissive and uncooperative.Prospective guests should be aware that this establishment does not maintain acceptable standards of cleanliness, nor do they honor their own refund agreements. I strongly recommend choosing alternative accommodations in San Diego to avoid similar frustrations.   Basic hotel a bit quirky quiet good location. But my room window had large deep crack and bedspread clean but stained. Breakfast limited menu but free. You get what you pay for.   PRIVACY AND GREAT LOCATION

  I have stayed here no less than 10 times while undergoing cancer survivorship so comfort and chill is really important to me! I'm supposed to be living my best life and yep, this place makes that happen to me especially the customer service from their manager, Sanjay. He has the best sense of humor and I look forward to relaxing here when I need a quick getaway. I have stayed at the Marriott across the street and like the privacy of the Western inn better. Depending on the rooms, some of the water pressure can be iffy and some rooms better than others. The staff is always nice and helpful and I like that I can just run into old Town or even the front lobby to get a drink or bottle of water. It's also really well located to the shopping district off Rosecrans and walkable to the park. Still, Sanjay is the reason I keep coming back with his bright and cheerful smile! I'll be sure to visit again soon!   Great Hotel in a Great Location!

  We had a wonderful stay at the Western Inn Old Town!We initially had booked at a different hotel last year and then, when we read recent reviews of said hotel, they all mentioned beg bugs and roaches. Western Inn Old Town was able to take us in and get us a room VERY last minute, which is very much appreciated. The staff was friendly, plenty of parking, great location in Old Town.
