    Very clean and comfortable. Recently refurbished to a good standard. Furniture, fixtures and appliances in good order. Helpful staff. Would stay again. Good location for sites and good car parking.

    The place itself is a decent motel. No frills and clean. But three things make it outstanding. The price for San Fran is good . they have free parking so if you have a car the price now is literally unbeatable. And best of all they are really good people who will help you in any way they can. This has become the only place I will stay in the city.

    this room has enough space fpr 4 persons, TV was working good, bathroom with a plenty of hot waterthis place is close to china town and we can reach sevaral places even walking

    More like Fred Flintstone than the glamorous 1940s...Very little has been done to update this hotel. In fact, it looks like the bare minimum has been done. And, that's not the only thing that's bare. Check out the pictures of the carpet!If you can stand a funky, old, smelly, noisy place that has parking, then this is the motel for you!I paid upfront for 2 nights, and we left after the first night. I'd rather lose a little money than stay in this place.If this is all you can afford, then it's the right place for you. But, you'd probably be better off finding something just a little more upscale.

    Castle Inn is in a great location, a nice walk down to Fisherman's Wharf. Rooms are clean and spacious, with comfy beds and plenty of facilities in the room. Mini fridge, tea & coffee and complementary toiletries. Guy on reception was very welcoming and gave great advice on the local area pointing out the local supermarkets, restaurant's etc. Even advised where not to go - Tenderloin (one to avoid) . If you've not been to San Fran before, beware of all hills and inclines! A wonderful diverse city, wouldn't hesitate to go back, and would defiantly stay at the Castle Inn.
