  Worn and tired. Better options nearby.

  Location is fabulous with easy access to Powell Station and staff were pleasant. But rooms are worn and mine wasn't entirely clean (hairs on floor, smudges on doors and furniture). Everything feels a little worn and dated, from carpet to mini blinds in the bathroom to furniture. The room looked like it was decorated by a college kid moving into their first apt who grabbed some random things from the alley. I was only here to sleep for one night and spent no extra time in my room, I would only recommend this place for a quick and easy transit stop but not for a longer stay.   Perfect location with comfortable room and helpful staff

  The hotel was very close to Union Square so was very conveniently located. The room was comfortable even if it was the smallest one we stayed in during our trip. It was good to have a safe, fridge and coffee maker, the fluffy dressing gowns were unexpected. Room is cleaned on alternate days which was ok as reception staff were able to provide more coffee etc when needed. There was a noisy air conditioning duct outside the window and the ice bucket still had rubbish from the previous occupant. Staff were helpful, e.g. printing out a one page document for us.   26th April When we arrived the room was smelly, the floor was not level and creaked.We were tired and went and had dinner.It was nt until we went to bed that we looked behind the blind and there was all vents pipes etc for motels heating/air con.The noise was horrendous. Then at 100am the person in the next room had a shower or sounded like a freight train or an earthquake coming.We got no sleep.Due to the fact that our booking was done in December why were we given the worst room in the motel?There was one bedside cabinet on one side and nothing on the other. So my personal things went on the floor.We complained the next day and were moved to another room. This room was a bit better, although we could nt put the blind up as the cord was broken.I asked at the motel for a refund for our first night. Was told we need to do it through our travel agent.Our travel agent has requested a refund for this first night and we still have nt heard back.   "Great First Impressions – Excellent Check-In & Solid Amenities!"Reviewed April 1, 2025 • Stayed at Hotel Fusion, San FranciscoJust checked in today at Hotel Fusion in San Francisco, and I have to say — so far, so good!Jesus at the front desk was absolutely spectacular. Friendly, professional, and super helpful. He took the time to clearly explain all the amenities and even gave me a great room. I learned that the on-site bar just opened about four months ago — definitely looking forward to checking that out during my stay.As part of my travel routine, I like to share a review of the room, my check-in experience, and the amenities. The gym here is a solid highlight — open 24 hours, which is a huge plus. I actually did a quick video in there (you can catch it on my blog or wherever I end up sharing it). The gym includes a good variety: a nice rack of dumbbells, a convertible flat/incline/decline bench, and four machines — a stair stepper, treadmill, elliptical, and one more I’ll have to circle back on.I booked through Southwest.com and scored an extra 2,000–3,000 Rapid Rewards points, which made the already reasonable rate (around $120/night) even more worth it.All in all, I’m happy with my stay so far.   Great location by Union Square -- nice boutique hotel

  Clean, updated rooms and baths, great location, friendly staff. Rooms not big but adequate. Everything worked fine including shower water pressure, TV and internet. I recommend this moderately priced hotel one-half block from Powell Street and two blocks to Union Square and cable car turntable.
