    Perfect for an airport layover

    We’ve now stayed at this hotel 3 times on layovers at SFO and, for me, it ticks a lot of boxes.The shuttle service is efficient and the welcome by front desk staff is warm and friendly.The bed is comfortable and the shower is powerful. The room is clean and well equipped with a fridge and microwave which we used on this last occasion when we arrived hungry but too late for local restaurants. So we picked up some food at the airport and then warmed it up in the microwave using plates provided for us by front desk staff. There was a bowl of apples available for guests so that sufficed as dessert! But there’s also a small shop if you need more. And there’s a coffee machine available anytime for free coffee, various teas and hot chocolate.On the next morning breakfast was provided - standard Holiday inn Express fare so nothing exciting but complete with the warm cinnamon rolls which I love but shouldn’t!! There’s also a decent sized swimming pool where I had a swim before leaving for our long flight. The water is very refreshing!! (I.e freezing cold!!) But there was no-one else using it and I enjoyed it. My husband stuck to walking on the path by the lagoon which is next to the hotel. The area is quite run down but this is a reasonably pleasant if fairly short walk.All in all we will happily return to this hotel next time we’re at SFO and I can’t really understand why it isn’t more highly rated. Our one negative observation is that cleaning staff are a bit inconsiderate of guests who may be trying to sleep due to late arrivals or jet lag. On our last visit we were woken by staff talking and laughing loudly in the corridor outside our room. We don’t really expect that in an airport hotel so did mention it on our departure.

    Have stayed in a few hotels in the area and this one tops the list. It has a great shuttle service, excellent breakfast, spacious rooms, it's very clean and the staff are constantly keeping it so and it has a large outdoor pool.It's position right on the water adds to the calm atmosphere and the 24/7 water and coffee station is a nice touch. There is also a mini market for anything you may have forgotten.The best feature of this hotel is it's staff, very friendly and obliging - Kathy on the Front Desk is an asset to any organisation , her friendliness and professionalism deserves to be recognised.

    The general manager was so nice however the lady at the front desk doesn’t know what customer service is and was very rude. She shouldn’t be working working in a customer service environment.

    Check in was very welcoming. Mr Moufasta even recommended that I visit Alcatraz and was very nice when I explained that I was hoping to only stay one night as my flight was delayed. Good service and compassion are pretty rare these days. The room was large and had every convenience. The shower was hot with good water pressure. Breakfast was good. I saw many people cleaning as I awaited the airport shuttle. The shuttle runs all day and it’s really nice. Coffee, tea, cocoa and cucumber water are available all day. There’s also a little convenience store. Stayed due to a disappointing flight delay but really enjoyed myself.

    Credit where it’s due, this is a standard level hotel airport hotel and delivered on every aspect of our 1 night stay during January, the place seemed quiet.Kathy, the check-in agent was extremely helpful and welcoming. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower and bathroom amenities were perfectly satisfactory.Breakfast was great, spotlessly clean and well attended by the catering team who were excellent! The self serve breakfast offer was generous in terms of variety and choice albeit served on disposable ware, you could take-away as much as you wanted. We saw a complaint about the shuttle and decided to check it out. It’s true that the timings are approximate but it still turned up! We stay in a lot of hotels and believe we are discerning travellers and I would 100% recommend this place.
