    Smoke smell

    We stayed one night after a late flight before moving to a hotel in Fisherman’s Wharf. The first thing we noticed is that our room smelled like stale smoke despite the no smoking sign outside the room. If we hadn’t arrived so late with sleepy kids I would have requested another room because of the smell. Other than that, the room was fine…roomy and comfortable enough. The included breakfast was pretty good for a free hotel breakfast.

    I will never return to this location after the way their staff treated me and others whose flights were delayed by Delta. No respect for humans, not to even mention Hilton status. Stay anywhere but here!

    I was very unsatisfied with the room, the 1 King Bed Suite. As soon as we stepped in the room for the first time, we heard the bedroom fire alarm was chirping. Like it was low battery. I went back down to the front desk to tell them. When they sent someone to look at it, they kept setting off the very loud and annoying alarm, scaring my child. To make matters worse, they changed the battery in the wrong alarm -- they did the one in the living room. They had to leave and come back again to fix the one in the bedroom. You know, you really have to take care of these things before guests come in!Another problem was the parking: We came in looking for parking around 8pm and there was virtually no parking spots left, people were parking on the curb and basically random areas on the lot, including the front door/drop off area. Not worth paying the $27/night for parking when there are no spots!Some good things: Staff was friendly, the included breakfast was average -- its just what you would expect, nothing fancy: egg omelets, porridge, pastries, yogurt etc.

    Unfortunately for us , we only got to use the room for 8 hours, because of our hectic schedule, but the room served us well. We had a 6:05 a.m. flight and a rental car to return. You are at most, 15 minutes from the hotel parking lot to the Alamo car rental return. The room was spacious and clean. Parking is $27. There’s a free breakfast, but we had to leave before it started. We would stay here again, if ever in San Francisco again.

    Stayed in a 2 queen/small sofa room with three adults and one infant. Clean room, friendly staff, good breakfast. Housekeeping did a great job of freshening up every other day. No complaints. We appreciated the full refrigerator for formula and sandwich stuff. Wish there had been a small stove. Would stay here again!There is also a walking path that follows the water down the road. A couple of good restaurants and Starbucks!
