  Average but potentially great hotel

  I think this hotel could be great - the courtyards are gorgeous and the rooms are generously sized. But it seems to me that perhaps the mechanical and electrical systems could use an upgrade. While clean, the room's decor and furnishings were noticeably tired and a bit outdated. Conveniently located, but the highway noise is on the louder side too, although I realize that there is probably nothing that can be done about this.We experienced issues with the power in the room going out when using the hairdryer and air conditioner. It was fixed by resetting the circuit breaker, but in a lifetime of staying in hotels and using said appliances, this is the only time we have experienced this.It was difficult to nearly impossible to get warm enough water for a shower in the room. The shower needed to run for a couple minutes before becoming reasonably warm enough to bathe in. And then there would only be enough of that warm water for one person to shower - the other would have to wait a while and start the process over again.On the second night of our stay, the hot tub and pool were both not at the correct temperatures - both felt about 20 degrees cooler than the advertised 80 (pool) and 100 (tub) degree waters. Other guests were experiencing this at the hot tub too, and multiple guests (including us) reported it to the staff on duty, only to be told that they couldn't do anything about it.I reported all of this to the staff member on duty when I checked out, and he seemed indifferent to all of it, and told me "well that's what happens in Corte Madera!" What is that even supposed to mean? I will mention that the lady working the night shift when the power went out was very helpful.

  Heartless people!

  Our second stay here was a disaster. The room had a plumbing leak in the bathroom and the stove didn’t work. So we had to go down to the public bathroom in the gym and couldn’t cook for our family. It took an entire day and they refused to move us to another room even though we saw people check in and out (our room was next to the front desk). When we asked for a refund, they canceled our reservation and left us homeless. They knew we were town for the memorial for our late son in law. They are heartless especially the front desk manager Tom. These people have no character. Be careful! During this stay, we explained that all guests are treated equally and receive the same level of care and attention. We also advised that we could not relocate another guest to accommodate your request.When you reported a leaking sink faucet, maintenance responded promptly and resolved the issue. You also reported a concern with the stove; after inspection, maintenance confirmed it was functioning properly.Finally, the hotel did not cancel your reservation. You requested a cancellation and refund directly through Booking, and our team approved the request when contacted.Throughout your stay, our staff remained respectful, professional, and committed to addressing your concerns. While we regret that we were unable to meet your expectations, we respectfully disagree with the characterization of our team's service.I.G

  Absolutely loved our stay!

  Absolutely loved our stay at Marin Suites! We were traveling as a family of four with two young kids (ages 2 and 5) and this place exceeded every expectation. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The suite was spacious with a full kitchen — perfect for a family. The heated pool was a highlight for our girls after a long travel day. Free breakfast every morning was a great bonus that saved us time and money. Location is ideal for exploring Marin County — we were at Muir Woods in 20 minutes. Clean, comfortable, and great value. Would absolutely stay here again on our next Bay Area visit!   Very reasonably priced Hotel. Enormous room. Staff was very kind.
