  MARRIOTT VACATION CLUB IS A SCAM

  I bought from MARRIOTT VACATION CLUB (MVC) club points, for 1000 club points the price was approximately $16, 340.00 with closing cost. This was the WORST MISTAKE in my life. THIS CLUB POINTS ARE A SCAM.When you enter the computer the villa that you want to reserve for next year allthe time is not available. Right now I am asking for 14 different villas in different cities for June 2027 and July 2027, to select just one, but none are available.MVC controls the villas and doesn't release them. They keep playing a game and we are the losers. MVC, this is a shame, that a company behaves like this after we spent a lot of money. In the top of that MVC made MANY RULES for your club points to expired, other RULES you are not able to transfer for next year. WITH ALL THIS RULES MVC HAS THE ADVANTAGE TO GRAB US FROM OUR NECK and only is a WIN-WIN just for them.The top of the icing is when the salesperson does not tell you about all these stupid rules and the problem for find a villa. The salesperson said the annual fee will be $787.00, but I received from MVC a bill for $1,069.80. Without a doubt this is really a SCAM, for not able to reserve the villa in one year in advance, pay $16,340.00 for only 1000 club points, annual fee for $1,069,80 or more, and the POINTS EXPIRED after you expend all this money.   Good, but not the "Marriot" stay I expected

  Location was great, rooms was a good size with useful amenities, however there were a few things that were negative. The fridge randomly buzzed every night, which was pretty loud, the wardrobe is metal was it was always noisy opening the door, taking out/ putting back the ironing board etc and the street outside my window was busy with loud cars all night (this could be due to the exact room, but still worth noting). When checking-in I was given lots of info, but the amount of leaflets and extra info about signing up to the membership was a little overwhelming after a long flight. It wasn't a huge issue, but not something I experienced at any of my other US hotels on this trip.The laundry facilities were good, although 2 washers and 2 dryers meant they were mostly used, but they did the job once I was able to get a space. Also the staff were friendly during the stay. I did find what looked like a small blood drop on the duvet, so switched it with the other bed in the room, but it wasn't a pleasant find.Overall the room was okay if you get a good deal, but personally I'd probably look at other options before staying again, just to improve the sleep I got while staying there.   We stayed here with friends while traveling. Great location on Fisherman's Wharf. Nice LARGE room. Laundry facilities available for use complimentary. Large building.   Great location but has some issues.

  The Marriott VC was very nice. Super clean and urban chic. The staff were very helpful.We enjoyed the convenient location which was just 2 blocks back from Fisherman’s Wharf. The hotel have thought of little touches to make the stay more enjoyable - free bottled water and free Bevi drinks on each floor.However due to paper thin walls and floors, chances are you’ll be woken by your neighbours or other travellers in the courtyard. We were on the 2nd floor and whoever was above us, sounded like an elephant moving around. It was impossible to sleep through and as well as hearing them walking, I could also hear the shower, the toilet flushing, even the bed squeaking as they moved around. It was ridiculous.I also had a faulty air conditioner which kept turning on sporadically but maintenance were swift to attend to try to fix.We booked the one bedroom suite which had a small refrigerator, sink and dining table but oddly had no cutlery or crockery. The front office staff sent up some disposable cutlery so we could have breakfasts but why have a fridge and dining table if there was no way to prepare food.We would stay here again due to convenience and cleanliness but we would insist on a top floor! The property is perfectly situated, making everything convenient and accessible.The staff are incredibly welcoming, especially Timothy, the bellman. He always greets guests with a big smile and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure I am comfortable. His kindness, professionalism, and positive attitude truly make a difference.
