    Guest Service Excellence at Pacifica Lighthouse Trademark Collection by Wyndham June 12, 2026My wife and I recently celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary during a stay from June 6 through June 12, 2026, at the Pacifica Lighthouse Trademark Collection by Wyndham, formerly known as the Best Western Lighthouse Hotel, located at 105 Rockaway Beach Avenue in Pacifica, California.As a native of San Francisco, California, it is always a special treat to visit Pacifica and enjoy its magnificent oceanfront beauty. The peaceful sound of the waves, the cool ocean breeze, and the scenic surroundings create a truly relaxing experience that allows one to put life's worries aside and simply enjoy nature in all of its splendor.I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Guest Service Representative Jane, who has consistently gone out of her way to provide excellent, courteous, and professional service whenever we visit. On this special occasion, Jane was able to accommodate my wife and me with a beautiful room overlooking the Pacific Ocean, making our anniversary celebration even more memorable.I also wish to recognize Guest Service Representative Lynn, who likewise exemplified the highest standards of hospitality and customer service. Both Jane and Lynn represented the very best one would expect from a premier Wyndham property.The hotel's amenities were outstanding. We especially enjoyed the convenience of the Moon Ranker Restaurant, which is directly adjacent to the property and offers spectacular ocean views. Every morning, afternoon, and evening, the refreshing ocean breeze reminded us why Pacifica remains one of Northern California's hidden treasures.Special recognition should also be given to Beatrice in Housekeeping, whose cheerful greetings and warm personality brightened our mornings throughout our stay. It is employees like Beatrice who help create lasting memories for guests.We enjoyed our visit so much that we extended our original stay from June 9 through June 12, 2026. Adding to our excitement, I also learned about the benefits of the Wyndham Rewards program and the Wyndham credit card, which allows members to earn valuable points toward future stays.As a retired United States Postal Service letter carrier with 32 years and 8 months of service, and as a California real estate salesman and broker for 48 years, I have learned the importance of customer service.     Stay positive when facing negative people

    I arrived excited with positivity. But at just after 9 pm I met the receptionist who I can only describe as leaning towards the “No”. I asked where I could share a drink with some fellow travellers. “No, everything closes at 9.” I asked a couple other questions but got only “No”. I went to find my room but after settling in, I thought there’s got to be something. I ventured across the street and found a bar the servers had just closed out. But it seemed as though they would have been happy to serve me when I had arrived earlier.

    In desperate need of modernization, smelly, and - for that - way too expensive.

    I stayed there one night and was not impressed. The entire building is in desperate need of renovation: starting with the parking garage with massive potholes, "vintage" elevators that take forever, concrete staircases to rooms that have a look&feel like in the 80s - and not in a good way. My - supposedly: premium - room smelled weird, the door to the balcony opened hesitantly and almost fell apart, and the AC works just barely. The room was cold around my feet and just warming up parts of it took hours.The good part: the bed was actually pretty comfortable and the lines were pleasant and clean. So this is really not a house-keeping issue but simply a maintenance problem. Close this thing down for a year and renovate it from the core.

    The hotel is very run down and needs a complete remodel and update. The hallways have very faded, wrinkled and dated carpet, the wallpaper and paint is peeling from the windows, over half of the hotel is blocked off and the outside of many of those blocked off rooms are crumbling and hanging off.

    Horrible place to sleep. Old broken down overpriced hotel that needs to be redone from scratch. All night long hear person above us walking normal but sounding like bigfoot walking, applicances buzzing, wster dripping woke up with a major headache from staying there
