    Stayed with my family at Taj Campton for 4 days in May 2026The location of the hotel is perfect, right at union square..We had a wonderful experience with a lot of personalised service from Gursharan at the front desk, Abhishek in the restaurant, head chef George Thomas and the GM Pulkesin Mohan The whole Taj team makes sure that one feels at home.. away from home The food at the Bombay Brasserie restaurant was very nice Breakfast was excellent too All our needs were taken care of ..     Taj hospitality does not match as claimed

    Very disappointed with my experience at Taj Campton Place. For a luxury Taj property, the guest service expectations were not met.* The kitchen closes around 9:30 PM, so getting dinner after that is practically impossible.* On Sunday and Monday, their signature Indian restaurant remains closed, which was especially disappointing for guests expecting Indian food from a Taj hotel.* Even for small in-room requests, the hotel charges around $10 delivery/service fees, which feels excessive.The location is good, but the overall hospitality and food availability were not what I expected from the Taj brand.     Good hotel at the heart of Union Square

    We were there for 4 nights from April 29th to May 3rd. We stayed in a junior Suite so it was more comfortable for us which was like 2 adults and 1 kid. We had complimentary breakfast at their restaurant which was Bombay brassiere. Centrally located at Union square, the property is walking distance to most places in downtown San Francisco. We had a very good experience with all the staff members but Gursharan at the front office went an extra mile to help with transportation and other details. All in all a good trip.     Great Staff. Great Room. Great Location

    Best stay ever! The staff, from the front desk to the Bistro to the valet, second to none. So willing to help and go above and beyond. Made me feel special Perfectly located in Union Square. For a solo traveler, felt very secure in the neighborhood. Additionally, Taj Campton has measures in place to further make you feel secure. Self parked for $35/night versus $80 valet. Parked at the White House Parking, quick walk and recommended by the hotel. Short walk to Market Street (20 minutes to the Ferry Bldg) and China Town. Room was lovely. Spacious, bright and clean. Comfy bed with soft linens and great pillows. Bathroom was well appointed (hair dryer, shampoo, lots of towels) Super quiet. This is my new favorite hotel in the City and I will definitely be staying again! Website has discounted offers that I took advantage of that made my stay fairly economical. Ate at the Bistro for late dinner - excellent. Wonderful bartender. Also had breakfast. Yum!     Tan Compton disappointing

    We stayed in the Taj Compton for 3 nights in early May 2026. There were many positives and a few substantial negatives….Location is excellent just off Union Square , perfect for a trip to the city.The room was very good , clean and a good size. Beds were very comfortable and great bedding.Bathroom was also large with shower and plus a full size bath = excellent . Sadly the shower pressure was not the best , one of the lights did not work and the toilet was dripping continuously ( but not noisly ) the towels were plentiful and of good quality.Initially for Day 1 there were no cue tips and for the entire stay there were no supplies for the supplied coffee maker.Generally the housekeeping staff were very good re the cleaning etc.The TV was also good with a wide selection and very accessible to casting from your phone.The elevators were great with a seperate service elevator and the service was quick ( but bearing in mind the hotel was not busy ).The foyer was disappointing and not suitable in any way to hold a business meeting - small and few seats .The bar was very small ( maybe for 20 people maximum , at the actual bR there was 4/5 seats only and the oversized heavy chairs didn’t help. The bartender was very friendly as was all the staff - but the drinks were sub standard .The main issue was the understaffing throughout , in particular breakfast was painful and frustrating.
