    It is noisy.

    rating12 Apr 2026

If aircraft noise bothers you this is not the place for you. Planes fly over at 1000 to 1500 feet with a decibel level of 90 to 110 depending on type of aircraft. (Check flightradar app)They can take off 2 minutes apart. The front desk does not offer earplugs so come prepared. We happened to have a family urgency that required us to leave during our first day so we have no nighttime report. The rooms and decor are basic. Front desk was courteous. Parking is free.

A good value and close to good restaurants.

We needed one night close to SF airport before flying home and this turned out to be perfect. Comes with free parking and a modest breakfast (which could have been better, but honestly we don't expect much these days from complimentary hotel breakfasts). We were minutes away from the car rental return so it was very easy to catch an early morning flight. If the breakfast had been better, I would rate this excellent. Oh, and the best was our dinner at a great restaurant walking distance from the hotel: MAZRA located about .5 mi up San Bruno. Great food and ambiance. Also very popular.

    NOT WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY

    rating19 Oct 2025

The staff and the breakfast were very nice but other than that, our stay was less than ideal. I was traveling with my wheelchair bound 93 year old grandmother and when we arrived, the elevator was broken. They told me this after I had paid and unloaded all of our stuff so I had to load it all back into our car and we had to wait. He told us it would be 30 minutes to an hour and after an hour we eventually just went to dinner and hoped for the best. When we finally got into our room, the bathtub wasn’t wheelchair accessible. There were lots of support bars in the tub but there was no way to even get her in. The bed was also very high for an accessible room and I had to lift my grandmother onto it. If I had been a single person traveling alone or with my able bodied partner, I would have rated this hotel a 4. Decent accommodations for the price but not at all ADA friendly for wheelchair bound people. Also this is such a little thing in comparison but the blinds didn’t close so the smoke shop light across the street shone into our room all night. It wasn’t until the next morning that the front office gal said that there was a hidden THIRD pair of blinds. I should have called but I shouldn’t need to look for a hidden third pair of blinds. Just annoying. Again, the staff was very nice, the accommodations were just not up to ADA standards.

    A stay before cruising

    rating19 Mar 2025

We stayed here prior to taking a cruise the following day. When we first arrived we were a bit discouraged with the outside surroundings. The neighborhood is modest and there was major construction on the street. After checking in we found the rooms to be spacious and clean, the hallways, elevator and common areas to be updated and immaculate. The shuttle (1/hr) timely and the beds comfortable, and the included breakfast satisfying. A shoutout to Steve at the desk who patiently solved my printing issues and for the offer of a late checkout. We would choose The Atrium again for airport convenience.

Great spot for an airport lay-over, bring ear plugs

    rating11 Feb 2025

I used this hotel for a one night stop-over prior to an early morning flight from SFO. We had already been in San Francisco two nights previously, but wanted to be closer to the airport for our flight. I chose this hotel as it was a ten minute walk from San Bruno BART station and from the hotel there was a complimentary shuttle to the airport. In any case we didn't use the BART to get to the hotel, but instead took an UBER. Check-in was quick and easy. They booked a slot for the airport shuttle in the morning at the same time. The hotel lobby had vending machines for snacks as well as complimentary water. There is a pizzeria across the street if you need something more substantial. The room did have a small food prep area with a microwave if you wanted to warm up snacks of your own. The hotel is aptly named due to the rooms being arranged around a central atrium, our room was 214 and overlooked the main road outside. Our room has two large beds, a bath with shower over and toilet. The sink was in the room itself. It was really a fairly pleasant room with very comfortable beds. WiFi and tv worked well, providing some in-room entertainment. Externally there wasn't much noise except for aircraft taking off directly overhead, however the family in the room next door were extremely loud and inconsiderate, they did have children which I get can be difficult, but they seemed to make no effort to pacify or control them, they aren't in their home environment after all. This being predominantly an airport hotel, I would suggest better sound-proofing internally for that reason. People need to sleep before and after taking long journeys. Upon check out we were offered a breakfast to go, it contained yogurt, muffin and an apple, which was a nice touch. The courtesy bus arrived on time and we were dropped off at the international terminal ten minutes later. All in all, a good find for a good price, except for the next door neighbours
