    I visit San Francisco at least twice a year, staying at different hotels each time. This was a great stay, and met all my expectations. I will be recommending the Herbert Hotel to all my friends/family.

    So check-in was easy although it was at a hotel across the street. Front desk staff were pleasant and genuinely helpful. Room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Had a microwave on the second floor we could use to heat up food but no mini fridge. Price was good for the first two nights of my stay but went up considerably for a convention that was in town so I had to switch hotels. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

    A wonderful hotel in the very center of the city. Very cozy, clean, and warm — you can really feel the care for guests. The location is perfect, with shopping and everything you need within walking distance.There is a nice café in the hotel with a pleasant atmosphere and good food.Check-in was quick and smooth, and check-out was also fast and easy.We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come back again.

    An excellent bargain in a prime location. The building was quiet and secure. The room was very spacious for SF, with a nice tiled bath, a large closet, and a very large sleeping/ living area.A few small items: the room was too large to leave so much of it empty. A sitting area with two chairs,lamp, and coffee or side table would have been nice or kitchenette or micro/fridge would have.been welcome. An ice machine and water station is an expectation I have for everyplace I was surprised by this omission. A vending, guest laundry, or self-operated business center for a fee would enhance the property because this area is no longer where a multitude of options are at one’s doorstep. Any of these woukd enhance this overlooked gem.

    Very clean, and surprisingly quiet. You can't beat the price, and I love the fact they just record you cc #, for a deposit , that helps out alor that helps out these days , some hotels want $200 , and to get that reversed it's 7 to 10 working days . I look forward to the return. Our bathroom needed more attention, but I'm a clean frean when it comes to a bathroom.
