    I rarely leave negative reviews or give scores below average, but this stay was disappointing from start to finish.Before arrival, I emailed the hotel with a bedding request. The email was never acknowledged, and the request was not addressed.The property itself is badly in need of renovation. The hotel feels dated throughout, and the guest rooms show their age.The most serious issue, however, was cleanliness. Upon checking into Room 570, I immediately found hair on the bathroom counter and on top of the toilet. I went to the front desk and requested a different room.What was almost as disappointing as the room condition was the response from the night manager, Mr. Kumar. Although he apologized, it felt perfunctory and insincere. Rather than taking ownership of the issue, he asked me to send photographs of problems I had already shown him in person.I was reassigned to Room 667, only to discover more housekeeping failures, including hair in the sink and a toilet that had not been flushed. After encountering cleanliness issues in two consecutive rooms, I was too tired to return to the front desk and start the process again.To make matters worse, the Wi-Fi did not work. I had to contact IT support, and the troubleshooting process included odd questions such as asking me for the hotel's address before they could assist.I am a Marriott Gold Elite member and have stayed at many Marriott properties over the years. I have never encountered this level of poor housekeeping at a Marriott hotel, nor such an indifferent response to a significant guest complaint.A housekeeping problem in one room can happen. The same problems in two rooms, combined with unresponsive pre-arrival communication, nonfunctional Wi-Fi, a dated property, and a dismissive management response, point to broader operational issues.Unfortunately, this stay fell far below the standards I associate with both Westin and Marriott.     Great location and love our 1 Bedroom Executive Suite and the Starbucks located inside the hotel.

    My husband and I stayed here for the weekend visiting San Francisco. We like the hotel for its great location and there was a Starbucks located in the lobby which was so convenient to be able to place mobile orders using our Starbucks App. The hotel upgraded our room to a 1 bedroom executive suite due to our Titanium Marriott status, which was really nice. Our room was nice, clean, and comfortable. However there were spills in the elevators…no one cleaned it up. That could be a safety issue…someone could have slipped and fell. Also trash in the hall ways and the restrooms in the lobby were not clean. I did not give this a 5 stars rating due to this and also the staff were not as nice, friendly, helpful like other Westin Marriott properties we have stayed and parking is extremely expensive. It was $50 daily and there were not enough parking spots available. We were hoping that they could have waived the parking fee due to our titanium status like other Marriott properties but unfortunately they didn’t. It was disappointing but overall we had a good trip and a good stay.     Convenient location, downhill from there. As a Marriott-owned property, it offers the standard, underwhelming, no-frills hotel experience, including the $63 in-room dining hamburger served in a soggy cardboard container with plastic utensils (which, by the way, I had to deliver myself). Food was disgusting, facility was reminiscent of a 1980's Holiday Inn, and the staff looked and sounded like the cast from the Star Wars cantina scenes. My advice?     Bad experience during check in - for some reason the reception lady wanted to sell me a room upgrade for $20. As rewards member you expect these upgrades. I told her to do upgrade and gave card. She still gave me wrong shabby room. Pretty bad experience overall. Even checkout guy was bad and rude - didn’t even add my rewards to reservation despite telling him multiple times. Really bad experience. Hotel premise is pretty good actually and location and shuttle is very good.     Good for an overnight after landing

    Stopped here after flying in on 11 hr flight - didn’t want to drive after that so stayed here and picked up car next morning to head down the coast - hotel shuttle bus was good from the airport and back the next day - check in pretty easy - room was a bit tired as other reviews have said but ok - we had a bay (= airport) view - room spacious, beds comfortable - bar downstairs ok - Starbucks for coffee and food in the morning - hotels like this close to the airport aren’t cheap - but this one was I’d say mid range and actually pretty good overall - so if I’m coming this way again I’d probably stay here General Manager, General Manager at The Westin San Francisco Airport, responded to this review Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts on your experience with us at The Westin San Francisco Airport!
