  A pleasant, relaxing place to stay.

  The location was very convenient. The rooms are clean and cozy—mine had a fireplace, which was nice in the chilly SF evenings. Breakfast and evening “wine & nibbles” are provided in a cozy lounge. All the Inn staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. It’s a great place to stay if you prefer cozy comfort over modern luxury.

  White Swann Inn is a lovely, comfortable hotel in a fantastic central location, easy to walk or hop a cab to anywhere in San Francisco.But what truly makes this place special is the team. I accidentally left my sunglasses in the room and only realised once I was back in Italy. They found them, packaged them with incredible care, and shipped them all the way across the ocean. They arrived in perfect condition. That kind of attention and kindness is rare, and it tells you everything you need to know about how they treat their guests.Highly recommended, would absolutely stay here again.   Exceptional Staff and a Romantic Getaway

  My husband and I were on a short getaway, and stayed at The White Swan Inn, on the recommendation of someone we trust. It was a truly delightful experience, and we will be back. The staff is exceptional, the room was quiet and very comfortable, and we loved the gas fireplace. It was easy to get wherever we wanted to go.   Charming hotel with great location

  Lovely vintage hotel near Main Bus lines and lots of eateries. Walking distance to Chinatown. Hotel was charming but don’t forget the building is over 100 years old- don’t come here if you expect renovated rooms and sleek surfaces. The rooms are spacious- we booked a king fireplace and loved it. The staff are amazing.   Well kept boutique hotel in busy part above Union Square

  The initial check in person was very friendly. The check out person was rather grumpy and unfriendly. The hotel was very clean for what it is. Our room was very warm and luckily we had a window that we could open. There is no AC. We were in #57 Suite.Fireplace was nice. Small bathroom. No view, but quiet in the back of the building.It is located on a hill so be aware. The old elevator was charming and the breakfast was good.
