  I stayed at the Best Western in Los Gatos on Sunday, May 17th, and unfortunately had a very poor experience.Around 10 PM, extremely loud street construction began directly outside the hotel and continued well past midnight. I had an important meeting the next morning and initially tried to sleep through it, even taking melatonin, but by 12:30 AM the noise was still going strong with no indication it would be stopping anytime soon.I called the front desk and they acknowledged the construction was happening. Another 30 minutes passed, and with no solution offered, I came down to the lobby, explained that I could not sleep under those conditions, and left to find another hotel in the middle of the night.Before leaving, I specifically asked that notes be added to my stay and expressed that I hoped some sort of discount or accommodation be considered given the circumstances as I now had to pay for a second hotel.The next day I called and was told the manager would contact me. No one ever did. When I finally called again on Wednesday, I was told they would not be offering anything. The manager stated they could have moved me to another room, but that option was never once mentioned to me the night of.I understand the hotel may not control city construction, but they do control how situations are handled. A little communication, empathy, or effort to help in the moment would have gone a long way.Very disappointing experience overall.

  One of the worst stays during my California road trip. The room felt insecure, with doors opening directly onto the parking lot. It was also incredibly noisy at night.

  Louder than the Motel 6, thin walls & ceilings, barking dog next door, garbage trucks, big rigs, motorcycle guest pulling in at 1am and revving engine. Don’t stay here if you need to sleep at night.

  SUMMERS nightmare

  Upon arriving we first noticed that our room was located right by the front desk and next door to the gym, not ideal but we arrived so late we just wanted to get some sleep! When we entered our room we were overwhelmed with the smell of mildew and when I went to use the restroom I was almost sick over the strong smell of urine, the window bathroom was left open as well. With the windows open and confirming with the front desk that this was not the last room that could be rented it was quite obvious we were in the worst room in this property. We were told by the night audit to speak to the manager Summer when she arrived in the morning at 9:00 a.m. when I spoke with Summer who I was told was the manager, she could not have acted like she cared less about the room smelling strong of urine and the windows being left open indicating they knew the room had some odor issues. Summer never acted like she cared throughout my entire explanation of what our stay was like and just looked at me and said "ya". I highly recommend staying anywhere other than this particular Best Western while it is being managed by this Summer person as they do not seem to understand what hospitality means. This was not only a bad experience but also put our health at risk sleeping in a room so soiled by someone else's urine. Obviously very disappointed in Summer and her lack of skills but really disappointed in the Best Western brand all together.

  Decent hotel with clean rooms and great location. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was very disappointing. Skip it and grab something nearby.
