    Spacious room but furniture was dirty

    Our room was spacious. The bathroom was clean and the bedding was comfortable. It was close to the university, which was very convenient for us. My family also swam in the pool and sat on the patio, which were both also very clean.However, there were 2 pieces of furniture in the room, a chair and a loveseat, that were so badly stained that we wouldn't even put our luggage on let alone sit on them. They looked as if they had been spilled on and climbed over with dirty shoes. They were gross.

    Doable accommodation close to Santa Clara U

    I chose Best Western University Inn because I had to attend an event for admitted students @ Santa Clara University. It's super close to the campus and in close proximity to a lot of eateries. Accommodation is doable. I can tell it was newly remodeled. Bed and pillows are comfortable for a good night's rest. We were there for 2 nights. The pool was closed til April. Breakfast was doable. Omelette, potatoes edges, make your own waffles, biscuit, cereal, yogurt, apple and orange juice were available. You can also request for toiletries like toothbrush and tooth paste if you've forgotten to bring yours. Sink was situated outside the bathroom so one can brush and wash while another person is using the restroom.     Thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Excellent location: walkable and close to transit. Super clean, quiet, and secure hotel. Very comfortable room and strong wifi.

    The location is excellent, with restaurants and stores nearby, and it's close to any freeway. Serving breakfast is a nice touch. Thank you to the staff; I plan to return! Enjoyable stay!

    Construction workers stay there for long periods. They have large trucks that take up space. They congregate in the halls and parking lot, talking loudly and drinking beer. One of them was very rude to me after I kindly asked him to keep his voice down because it was 10pm--he basically tried provoking me so I would cause a scene. I didn't take the bait and I called the front desk instead. The front desk can only "talk to them". But this was the 3rd time I have stayed here for business within the past year that there have been loud construction workers. I will not recommend this hotel for single women, for families, for older people, for anyone.
