    Slow desk service. Hidden costs - not advised in advance of daily charge for parking. Room cleaning only every other day.     Really nice place to stay while in Palo alto. He rooms were very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were nice as well. The breakfast was great. Staff was helpful.     The "Policies" and Fines Treat customers as Criminals

    The location is nice. It is right in the busy part of town. Easy to reach Stanford Hospital. I was caretaking a recent transplant patient. She had a tiny, less than a centimeter, accident. It was a tiny spot. I asked for the sheets to be changed. Brio, the front desk person, was very smug as he kept repeating it was a stain and we would be fined. He did not listen to another thing we said, he just kept repeating the policy that they have fines for stains. Apparently, he cannot use a washing machine. Anyhow, beware of their housekeeping policy. Parking is also paid.     This location just started to charge for parking, with no advance notice. Rooms have been remodeled and are fairly clean but should be aired out to remove lingering smells.
