    Excellent Staff and a Great, Convenient Stay!

    I had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Sunnyvale over Memorial Day weekend and am happy to give it a 4-star rating. This hotel is well-maintained and provides everything you need for a comfortable visit.What Stood Out: Outstanding Service: The front desk team is incredibly dedicated, making both check-in and check-out completely seamless. A special shout-out goes to Rainier, the night auditor. His excellent customer service, sharp communication skills, and clear dedication to excellence really stood out during my stay. The Room & Amenities: My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with great toiletries, a microwave, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, and an ice bucket. Location & Atmosphere: The hotel is in a fantastic, convenient location that works perfectly for both business and leisure travelers alike. Since it was a holiday weekend, the property was a bit slow and quiet. While I didn't get to see it at maximum capacity, you can tell there is a really good vibe here that would be even better when the lounge and outlets are buzzing with more people.Room for Improvement: Glassware: The only real improvement I would suggest is providing proper glassware for wine or cocktails in the rooms instead of disposable paper cups. It would be a nice touch to elevate the experience.The Verdict:The management clearly has a dedicated staff in place who care about keeping guests happy. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!     HUGE and UNEXPECTED Parking Fees!

    AVOID THIS HOTEL. They lure you in with what appears to be a decent price then after you’re committed with a nonrefundable reservation they hit you with $27.50 PER NIGHT for parking (in Sunnyvale, where parking at other hotels and even downtown parking is FREE), pay for breakfast, pay for water…I’m surprised you don’t have to pay for clean sheets! For shame, Hilton, fleecing your customers like that. Are you becoming the Ryan Air of hotels?     Convenient to SJO airport

    Stayed here the night before an early morning flight out of SJO. In comparison to the hotels right by the airport, this hotel proved to be a better option both in price and in how nice this hotel is! It's a really nice property and felt brand new. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay near SJO. Everyone was friendly, the property is tastefully decorated and impeccable! We enjoyed drinks from the bar where there are pleasant areas to sit and relax instead of feeling confined to your hotel room. Our room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable!     Really lovely hotel

    This is the nicest Hilton Garden Inn I've ever seen. I am a hotel snob and stay in hotels about 12 times a year. I'm in love with this corporate, well managed, super pristine hotel. This is my second stay here. FYI, I have no friends or relatives at this property.     unprofessional, miscommunication, aggressive demeanor

    I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received at the Hilton Garden Inn Sunnyvale on December 26th, 2024. I had a non-refundable reservation for a one-night stay from December 26th to December 27th, 2024, for myself, my wife, and our two daughters. The reservation was pre-paid in full. Despite the hotel's stated check-in time of 3:00 PM, upon our arrival at 8:00 PM, we were informed by the one woman at front desk staff that our room was not available and that someone was cleaning it. We were initially told the wait would be approximately 3 minutes. After waiting for 10 minutes, I inquired about the room's status, and the same staff member then stated the wait would be 30 minutes, contradicting her earlier statement. When I pointed out the discrepancy and the fact that it was already 5 hours past the check-in time, suggesting that another room type that could accomodate 4 should be checked, she responded aggressively saying there is a video recording and threatening to cancel our reservation and call the police, claiming I had raised my voice, which was untrue. My wife and children were present during this interaction, and we felt threatened by her behavior. My wife said if you want called the police please go ahead and that woman became silent. Fortunately, another staff member intervened and was able to provide us with a room within five minutes. This experience was unacceptable. The initial staff member's unprofessional conduct, including her miscommunication, aggressive demeanor, and threats to cancel our pre-paid, non-refundable reservation and call the police for simply inquiring about our room well past the stated check-in time, is completely inappropriate for someone in the hospitality industry.
