    Hidden Gem in the South Bay

    A hidden gem. Discovered the hotel while attending a soccer tournament. The hotel is peaceful and spread out amongst landscaped grounds. Thanks to the friendly, front desk staff, we got an upgrade to a room with a ground floor outside deck. The heated pool was clean, large with plenty of towels and poolside seating. We were surprised by the tasty buffet breakfast that's not to miss. Being near the main commercial strip and Caltrains is convenient. We'll be back for a staycation.

    Fine but not over the top great

    Rooms are fine. Def need an upgrade as they feel aged. However the bathrooms are well updated. Noise travels far and well here. You hear your neighbors, you hear the other bathroom toilet flush etc, etc. Common grounds are fine. They added a glass enclosure around the pool. Makes the space feel tighter. There’s an odd scent in the room so bring a gel air freshener.

    Decent stay but hotel doesn’t offer usual Marriott benefits

    I’ve stayed at this hotel several times when attending conferences at Stanford University. I am a Marriott Titanium member and am used to receiving bonus points and coupons for breakfast (when the hotel doesn’t have a lounge). This time, I was offered the choice between bonus points and breakfast — never had that happen before! Otherwise the hotel was as usual: good location, decent rooms (although the mattresses are not great if you suffer from back problems), nice food, and of course lovely weather.

    Very comfortable stay for Stanford visit

    We came to a Stanford event - three nights stay. We were welcomed and checked in with efficiency. Room was quiet, King bed comfortable, great pillows,. Well stocked kitchen. I thought the front desk staff were among the most helpful, professional and welcoming I have encountered - excellent in check in and departure, super helpful in providing printing services for a docuemtn I needed, and generally very freindly and service oriented from start to finish. Quite happy with our stay here. Easy access to lots of spaces ( inclkuding walk to Whole Foods Market).

    Sleepless in Palo Alto

    I was “upgraded” to a first floor room with a water feature right outside my room. As a solo traveler and a light sleeper, this was probably one of the worst options that I could have been given. When I called the front desk asking to switch rooms, they would not accommodate due to being fully booked. I travel a lot and have gold level status at several hotels. I have never been denied being moved. I am sure they could have switched my room with somebody who has not checked in yet. So now I will spend $600 a night to not sleep. Additionally, the rooms need a refresh.
