    Walked in and turned around and left!!!

    We booked because of an event that was happening at the American Legion and this was the hotel they were able to get a group rate for. our first red flag should’ve been when we pulled up. There were people hanging out front like they lived there. It was a pretty sketchy looking place to say the least. I think they had some drug deals going on and then when we get to our “king suite” we walk in and was hit with a god-awful piss smell. The bed was gross and there was nasty couch with stains. There were no cable boxes to turn the TV on so that was red flag number two because here I was thinking we must have to go ask for them and they don’t keep them In the room because people probably have stolen them in the past. Sooooo the bathroom was disgusting. I sat down on the toilet and looked over to grab some toilet paper and I don’t know what nasty gross bodily fluids was all on the wall but that was it for me. There was NO WAY in hell I was gonna sleep in that bed so needless to say we carried our belongings back downstairs, put them in the truck called a different hotel the Marriott, which is a brand new hotel so we know that it’s clean luckily they had one room left so we booked it for the next three nights as that’s what we had booked at this dump.

    A Two-Star Stay That Could Have Been So Much Better

    Among the hotel deficiencies were:1) the bathtub drain was very slow, causing the tub to fill during my shower;2) the bathroom floor was dirty, especially in the corners;3) the conditioner squeeze bottle attached to the shower wall was empty;4) the Kleenex container next to the bathroom sink was empty;5) there was no luggage rack in the room;6) there were only two accessible electric outlets for charging phones and other electric appliances;7) aside from a few oranges, there were no healthy breakfast options, only rubbery hard-boiled eggs, high carb white bread and waffles, and high sugar items like muffins and cereals. The only reason I’m giving this hotel two stars vs one star is the beds we’re comfortable and the AC worked.     Stayed this weekend with my family, staff Deon was friendly and welcoming. Rooms was clean and comfortable. Kids enjoyed the pool.     I was so impressed with the level of service I received both from management and hotel staff! The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was well kept. Staff were very friendly. The manager was very accommodating to the needs of my family. This is a great budget friendly hotel and I would recommend to anyone traveling to the Savannah area. We will definitely stay here again!     Great staff, great place. Deon was great at the desk. Housekeeping was fantastic as my room was sparkling clean. Came to Savannah to look at SCAD and the location of the hotel was perfect. If you’re rolling through town or coming to visit campus this is a great and cheap place to sleep!
