  Parking Money Grab

  I have stayed here several times as a close hotel near Sea-Tac. This is the first time I have been charged for parking. The front desk person was polite about the charge and let me know it was more strictly being enforced. Very much appreciate the heads up. That said, what she could not say is that this is a money grab by the property owner. I could stay immediately next door at the Aloft, or down the street 2 blocks at the Fairfield, and not have to charge for parking. In fact, at Aloft the free parking is in a garage. Moreover, the package deal that includes parking would cost more than paying the additional. For the short time o am here to sleep, I will choose another Marriott property the next time

  Employees are very hospital especially Roberto. He was very friendly and accommodating. He served our breakfast quickly and was very courteous towards his costumer. I would recommend this hotel to any travelers going to Seattle.

  The walls and floors are thin. You can easily hear people walking, dropping stuff, talking etc. Bathroom was not clean. Shower stall had some mold or grout discoloration. Bath mat was set for use in the shower but when I grabbed it to put it down, it was wet. The shower head was spouting water. There was a hair by the drain. The bed had a light pink stain on the fitted sheet which grossed me out so I slept on top of the flat sheet. There was another bed in the room but I had already put my luggage etc on there thinking I was sleeping on the other one. The refrigerator had apparently been turned off at some point, but noone emptied the ice chamber, so when I went to move it, a ton of water came pouring out creating a mess. There's a weird motion sensor loud beep every time I moved in certain directions even when lying down. It would wake me up. The coffee maker water reservoir was left filled with water from who knows when. Gross.   Excellent choice wished we had stayed here on the way in from airport!

  Stayed here on our way back from an Alaskan cruise so arrived very early (10 am) the receptionist put our luggage in a safe area so that we could go out if we wished. She explained that rooms were being preparared and as soon as one was avaliable we would be able to use it. By 11 am we were safely ensconced in our room which was well laid out with all we needed and I was able to unpack all our dirty laundry and take it up to the washer and drier on the 2nd floor(?) the washer worked well but unfortunately someone had left a coin in the drier. A quick call to reception and the maintenance man was there to remove the coin so I could finish as you can well imagine to go home with clean clothes was a bonus but more was to come. My husband asked about recommendations for a meal and was given a list one of which I had already seen on Trip Advisor we asked the driver of the courtesy bus which way to go and the response was "hop in I'll take you" not only did he take us but he gave us a card for the hostess in the restaurant to ring when we were done and he pickeed us back up. Our room was comfortable and quiet the bathroom well equipped and there was acoffee maker in the room.   Surprising $21 a day charge for Parking.

  The hotel is clean and a typical Courtyard sized room - and all the rooms are the same with no options for upgrades. Nice to have 24 hour shuttle. But the location is hidden behind other properties, has no amenities of note, and is way overpriced for what you get.And then there's the hidden surprise of paying $21 more for parking. No covered option, no security, just a regular space in a big parking lot for $21/night. Shameful.I really don't get the Courtyard brand anymore. The properties are not located in any better spots, they don't offer free breakfast like their similar Marriott properties of Fairfield, Springhill, Residence, Aloft, etc. Their amenities are minimal, No options for upgraded rooms. Staff is ok. Seems like they are trying to be a JW Marriot without the class and amenities.The international versions are much better - the domestic Courtyards should learn from them and upgrade their experience.
