    Stay away – unsafe and unhygienic conditions

    I was shocked by the condition of the property upon arrival. The room and common areas were absolutely filthy and did not meet even the most basic hygiene standards.The floors were heavily stained and had clearly not been vacuumed, the room reeked of cigarette smoke, and the toilet had hair on the exterior lid—including a pubic hair on the interior. The bedding was stained and had visible paint marks, and the most disturbing issue was a red, blood-like residue smeared on one of the room walls. I have photo evidence of all of these issues.We did not feel safe staying at this property and had no choice but to leave. This was not just a disappointing experience—it was unacceptable and unsafe. I strongly urge other travelers to boycott this property until it meets proper cleanliness and safety standards.If I could give zero stars, I would.     This place is disgusting! Smells and extremely dirty! Stayed for 30 minutes and they said not refund ! BEWARE, this is not a place to stay.we were offered a half a can of Lysol for the smell…said we couldn’t get a fecund because we were there for 30 minutes ! This to me is paying for services not rendered! Guest Services, Guest Services / Front Office at GuestHouse Fife, responded to this review We appreciate you choosing to stay with us, and leaving us a review. It is disheartening to know that we were unable to meet all of your expectations. What you experienced is not on par with our typical standards of stay.     This hotel is the catfish of what they have posted on all websites. I was expecting a nice stay. The moment I pulled into the hotel parking lot I knew I made a huge mistake. The pool was closed and trashed. Walking into the lobby it was all under construction. The entire hotel is! The fitness room was closed. They advertised breakfast but it was false advertisement (even had it on their sign). You have to pay $25 if paying with card and $50 if paying with cash for the deposit. Front desk lady said it wasn’t going to be taken out of our card. Which she also said was gonna be refunded after checking out (it is also in FINE PRINT on the website). Instead they took the deposit and never returned it. Walking into our room I felt disgusted immediately. It was dirty. The carpets were stained. They gave us only 2 towels when we booked for 3 people. Our sheets were stained and they were all mismatched. Lamp was flickering when we turned it on. The other light didn’t work. Our first night we left to have dinner and came back to our room smelling like cannabis. Note: we booked a NON-SMOKING room. My husband and I are smokers and we smoked outside our entire stay. My suggestion is to never cheap out on a hotel room. I will never go back to this hotel again. & you should take my review and the 100’s of others reviews and don’t stay here.     NEVER STAY THERE!!!!!!REALLY TERRIBLE PLACE!!!! They told me that there was no rooms even though I made the reservation. How can that happen? And their manner was very bad. They didn't care about where I would sleep and just wanted to let me go. And also they didn't have any compensation for this problem. They just wanted to make more money. AGAIN!!!!!! DO NOT STAY THERE!!!! OTHERWISE YOU WILL SLEEP ON THE STREET!!!!     DO NOT stay here! Terrible customer service! Rooms not available until after 7 only after 45 minutes of discussion and needing a list from house keeping. Reserved and paid online for two beds but they overbooked. After being in the phone with the credit card the clerk manages to push the wrong tender resulting in another call to the credit card company. Clerk was not professional in any manor. The room was terrible! Walked in and the smell was over powering. Holes in the door, black mold, burn marks on the bed, splatters on the wall, duct tape holding wires, thank goodness the pool was closed because If the room was like this I can only imagine. Did not feel safe or comfortable and left.
