    Having just completed three nights here, I wanted to share my perspective on this property. To sum it up, there is a lot to like here! I found this hotel modern, fresh and more importantly, it was impeccably clean. Every hotel employee I came into contact with was friendly. The room itself was spacious, with a spacious, well-lit bathroom as well. I was impressed at how when I walked into the room, it smelled fresh and clean. There were plenty of outlets and ports for charging. Housekeeping did a great job, and I found plenty of room to store all my things. I appreciated the four pillows were labeled "soft" and "firm". There were also other seating options besides just the bed. Speaking of the bed, I found the mattress very comfortable. The standard water pressure wasn't great, but not unacceptable. Most hotels don't seem to have great water pressure these days anyway. But, there are a few different shower head settings, and some of them DO produce more water pressure, so play around with it. Breakfast was enjoyable, varied, well organized, and again, clean! I have to commend the breakfast attendant on Saturday and Sunday, she was so friendly to everyone. And who knew Holiday Inn warm cinnamon rolls were so good? The property does have an indoor pool, which I did not see or use. The lobby has seating not only for breakfast, but also a few work stations and other general seating. Once again, very clean! On property parking was plentiful and complimentary. If you pre-register before arriving, your check-in process will go faster. Let's talk about the elephant in the room, the train noise. There is a sign posted in the elevator that states that if you are not getting quality sleep, they do have white noise type machines available and *space/availability permitting*, they can move you to a room at the back side of the hotel. My room also had ear plugs in it. This will be subjective to everyone, but on a scale of 1-10, the noise impact for me was about a 3. I had a room facing the tracks. Yes, I heard it, but it didn't ruin my nights sleep. With train schedules always being different, some engineers using the train horn and some not, the speed of the train and passenger vs. freight train, everyone is likely going to experience different levels of impact. I assume some do or could sleep with the TV on as well. For me, the noise was not enough to deter me from staying here again. The positives of this hotel far outweighed any negatives for me here. I don't often stay at many Holiday Inns, but I'd have to think this is one of the nicer ones around. I loved how clean it was, the breakfast was a perk, and it was so convenient (also nearby to the Outlet mall, facilities for sports tournaments, highways and many restaurants, both sit down and fast food). Overall, I was happy with my stay.

    All clean, breakfast a great variety, even GF availability. Friendly and welcoming despite busy with basketball tournament. Made us feel like friends. We will definitely be back!     "My Cousin Vinny" Active train yard operates during the middle of the night of the Holiday Inn Express.

    Have you ever seen the movie My Cousin Vinny where Joe Pesci can't get any sleep because of a train? Well, had we known that the Holiday Inn Express sits right on top of the train yard that operates throughout the evening, we would have been chosen another location. Funny that the Holiday Inn Express left one pair of earplugs for our convenience. Another thing, the hotel doesn't have any water pressure probably like most of Seattle thinking that they're saving the planet but there should at least be enough water pressure so you don't have to dance around to get wet in the shower or to have to continually move your hands around to try to get your hands wet when you wash them. We left for an entire day doing sightseeing and events to come back in the evening only to find out that they never even touched our room to take out the trash and exchange the towels. I usually expect much more from the Holiday Inn Express. On the bright side, their complementary breakfast is pretty good.     General Manager is terrible, hotel is great

    First, I will say that Jessica is amazing. She was super helpful and kind. The reason for my poor review is that Tawnya Wulfekuhle, the General Manager, charged me $60 for soiling a towel (I was menstruating and dried off after the shower). Her lack of understanding (was I supposed to not shower while staying there four days?) for the circumstances, which were clearly out of my control, left me feeling embarrassed and harassed. The charges were reversed only after I reached out to Corporate to file a complaint and request reimbursement. I will say, overall, the hotel is clean, safe and the rest of the staff were great.
