  We love the Issaquah Homewood Suites!

  We held our family Christmas get-together with three big corner suites and a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus to entertain the grandchildren. The property is terrific and our favorite hotel in the area. It's always immaculately clean, free ample parking, the free breakfast is great and the rooms are very well equipped and comfortable. Maybe best of all is the staff there; always smiling, helpful and friendly. It's always a treat to return.

  Badly needs some TLC

  We have stayed here a few times in the past, as well as at the Hilton Garden next door. This time we were there for a week while visiting family in Issaquah. While the front desk people were always very friendly and helpful, we noticed several things that needed maintenance or updating (see attached picture). One elevator had an "Out of Order" sign. We assumed that was a new problem. After a few days, however, another customer added a few words indicating it had been out of order for 2 months! I called this to the attention of the front desk, but a few days later and no one on the staff had removed the sign and put a new one up. No one was ever in the pool. We tried the hot top, but only one jet worked, and another worked partially. Breakfasts were OK, but they do get old after a week. Sometimes the staff was helpful, other times not. Our room gets a mixed review. The sofa bed (we used it only for sitting while watching TV or reading) was uncomfortable, something was broken in the frame. We pulled one of the bedroom chairs into the living room for better seating. Then we started to notice that the furniture didn't match, a minor problem but an indication that a major updating is needed in this hotel. That said, the heating/air conditioning worked fine, the bed was comfortable, and the every-other-day housekeeping was adequate.

  I never leave reviews but I am stunned that this hotel received good reviews. We stayed for part business/part pleasure. Our room was awful. Everything was stained...Every wall, every fabric chair, couch, and floor stained, even in the hotel dining room... our bathtub. We spent $200 to purchase sheets/coverings for the furniture and cleaning supplies. Everything is old and outdated. Only one nightstand for four spots on two queen beds? Dim lighting in the bathroom so we had to get ready elsewhere, no fan in the bathroom, no privacy area to change clothes. The pull out couch/bed felt like you would fall through and creaked. The comforter for it was balled up and stained. No higher tables or spots to put your luggage so it is all on the floor open. Watered down coffee (even the dark roast). So much more that we could write... all this and the room was $600 a night. Front desk staff was nice, but couldn't give us quarters for laundry on four occasions. We were warned by another guest that you have to get to the complimentary breakfast early because they run out of food. No food available for those who leave for work at 6am.We've always stayed at HW Suites, and once we stayed a whole month at a nice one. This one bombed. Looks great on the outside, but the rooms need updating because this is where the guest spends most of their time. The only positive is that we saw some very diligent cleaning staff in the laundry and workout area.

  Very comfortable stay

  I traveled here for business and have stayed both at the Homewood Suites and the Hilton Garden Inn next door. The rooms are very clean and accessible. I like the kitchenette with a full fridge, dishwasher, and complimentary dish soap. The showers are step-in which I find more accessible than a tub you have to step over. I would happily book another stay here.

  DO NOT STAY HERE! Picture this: New Year’s Day, you wake up, splash cold water on your clean face and keep your eyes half closed while grabbing a prefolded hand towel to dry said wet face. You dry your face and open your eyes - to - horrifically - you rubbing your face on a towel with a VERY BRIGHT VERY CLEAR GIANT blob of DRIED FREAKING BLOOD on the towel. You immediately drop the towel, look in the mirror, clearly assess your face having absolutely no open wounds or blood coming from anywhere. You DOUBLE FREAKING confirm there is no blood coming from anywhere on you or your face. You look to your husband in ABSOLUTE PANICKED HORROR and explain what has just happened - you have wiped your eyes and face with a BLOODY TOWEL which is DEFINITELY NOT YOUR BLOOD. You immediately grab the phone, call the front desk, say, calmly, I just washed my face, and dried my face with a towel that ALREADY HAD BLOOD ON IT. You are met with *a moment of silence* and then a deadpan “well that’s not good” you respond with “it is F****** disgusting” and “we are packing our bags and want our money refunded immediately” and the response was “BRING ME THE TOWEL AND WE’LL SEE ABOUT YOUR F****** MONEY BEING REFUNDED” When we went down to immediately checkout we were advised there were no managers on duty and were told the only worker on duty had no authority to offer us a refund, just hotel points for a part of our stay. I am livid, and so completely appalled at the front desk woman’s behavior I literally have no words. For the love of hygienic practices and decency, please do not stay here.
