Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks' unspoiled beauty rivals that of Yosemite, according to the naturalist John Muir, who worked for the establishment of the parks in the 19th century - but without the crowds. Here guests can see the General Sherman tree, the Earth's largest living thing, deep canyons and high peaks, or hike to the highest point in the contiguous United States.

The bungalow complex has a lift and features 102 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a safe and a cash machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services and facilities include room service and a laundry service.

The lodge in and of itself is in a great location for Sequoia. I mean, it IS the only lodge in Sequoia but good spot!Skip the breakfast buffet. It’s $26 for a worse quality of breakfast than a cheaper hotel. HOWEVER - the pizza deck was great and dinner wasn’t bad. I would advise ordering from the menu for breakfast. They have a microwave, a fridge, and a Keurig in the room. We stopped at a grocery store in Fresno and got some breakfast sandwiches, bread, peanut butter and jelly, and hiking snacks. This made it so we weren’t spending money on every meal each day.

Card fraudulent charges

My family and I stayed at Wuksachi Lodge last month, and I want to share a concerning experience. Please keep a close eye on your debit and credit card activity.The only time I physically handed my card to someone during the trip was when I paid for breakfast at the lodge. Later that same day, fraudulent charges began appearing on that account. For the rest of our trip, I used different cards and paid only by tap. If you visit, consider using tap-to-pay when possible and monitor your accounts closely.

The room reflected NP experience……nothing luxurious but clean and well-maintained. No free breakfast. Restaurant food was better than average. Make restaurant reservations .....fills up quickly. Location was exceptional….located near all the important Sequa NP sites.

Wuksachi is a frequent go-to for us. Right in the middle of Sequoia Natl. Park so very convenient for sightseeing nearby. Lodge rooms are well- equipped and comparable to major hotel chains. Very clean room. The restaurant is really excellent with many yummy selections, and its prices are quite reasonable.
