Terrible!
20 Feb 2026
We have stayed at this property before but never again. I would not recommend this hotel. The room had a terrible smell as soon as we walked in, the carpet was stained and felt unclean, and the linens did not appear fresh or properly washed. Overall, the cleanliness was very disappointing and made for an uncomfortable stay. Not to mention the air conditioner did not cool the room. Innisfree Hotels, Owner at Hampton Inn & Suites St. Augustine-Vilano Beach, responded to this review Hi ChriscA4251CU! We are very sorry to hear about your recent experience. Cleanliness and comfort are top priorities for us, and it’s clear we fell short during your stay. We sincerely apologize for the issues with the room odor, carpet, linens, and air conditioning.Your feedback has been shared with our housekeeping and maintenance teams so these concerns can be addressed immediately. Please contact us directly so we can further discuss your stay and work toward making this right. -Ara

Three Strikes and You Are Out!
12 Feb 2026
My wife and I stay here often. This trip we booked a suite on the 3rd floor with an ocean view. The first night shortly after arriving there was a knock at the door with a staff member accusing us of smoking. Neither of us smoke. The next night upon returning to the hotel he got on the elevator and it was broken. Luckily the door opened and we stepped out. We were greeted by an angry employee, front desk person, yelling at us for trying to use it. No sign, nobody watching the door. My wife was in a wheelchair. When I informed him this was unacceptable he snapped at me telling me it had to be reset. When I repeated this was unacceptable and I was the customer and did not appreciate him raising his voice to me he got louder and more angry. The elevator is broken and this is a frequent occurrence here, this makes 3 of the last 5 visits over a 2 year period. I had to literally drag my poor wife up to the 3rd floor. We won’t be back. Innisfree Hotels, Owner at Hampton Inn & Suites St. Augustine-Vilano Beach, responded to this review Hi TRGuitar! We are deeply sorry for the experiences you and your wife encountered during your recent stay. What you’ve described falls far below the standards we strive to provide for all our guests, especially regarding accessibility and staff interactions. We sincerely apologize for the confusion about the smoking allegation, the broken elevator, and the way our team handled the situation.Your feedback is being shared immediately with our management and maintenance teams so we can address these issues and prevent them from happening in the future. Guest safety, comfort, and respectful service are our highest priorities, and we clearly did not meet them in this instance. Please contact us directly so we can discuss this matter further. We want the opportunity to make this right and ensure your concerns are fully addressed. -Ara

The Go To place in Vilano
03 Jan 2026
2 minutes walk to the sandy beach and no roads to cross. It's a park access so easy to get down to the beach. Hunt for shark teeth! The hotel is clean and quiet. The surrounding garden areas are beautiful. The king suite is very spacious and nicely decorated. The front desk staff are wonderful and breakfast is a great start to the day. Walk to fun restaurants, Publix, and some great local art shows. Avoid the St. Augustine Beach tourist hustle. This hotel got us hooked on Hampton several years ago and we have now stayed coast-to-coast across the country. Innisfree Hotels, Owner at Hampton Inn & Suites St. Augustine-Vilano Beach, responded to this review Hi WBHett! Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our location just a short walk to the beach, and that you found the hotel clean, quiet, and beautifully landscaped. It's great to know that you appreciated the spacious king suite and our friendly front desk staff. We're glad you had a delicious breakfast to start your day and enjoyed exploring the local restaurants and art shows nearby. We appreciate your loyalty and are honored to be part of your coast-to-coast travels. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Vilano! -Ara
