Great location, incredible staff. Loved the vibe - older property but see it as having character and you'll love it as much as the locals. I'm picky on cleanliness and hesitated based on old reviews but I found the room to be incredibly clean. Some maintenance improvements could be made for boosted aesthetic but there's always a greater story there. Would absolutely stay here again. Looking forward to coming back in winter!

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Gravity Haus Steamboat! Amazing atmosphere! The rooms were exceptionally clean, and you truly cannot get any closer to the Steamboat Gondola. What really sets this property apart is the staff. The General Manager, Mel Johnson, is hands-down the best hotel manager I have ever encountered. Our travel plans changed, and Mel and her team adapted effortlessly to our last-minute adjustments. They seamlessly added an extra night to the front of our reservation. When we ran into a noise issue and needed a room swap for the final two nights, they handled it immediately. Because we were on the ground floor with food in our room, we couldn't open the windows due to bears—and the management team took our safety and comfort seriously, getting us moved without hesitation. Incredible service, perfect location, and a stellar management team. We will absolutely be back!

Hotel was outdated and needed a little sprucing up. The bed/ bed sheets were probably the worst I’ve been on. Not very comfortable at all. Staff was pleasant and location of hotel was perfect.

Location is great but not a luxury hotel

The location is excellent. Literally a two minute walk down path to the base area. We also found the staff to be very friendly -- shout out to the bartender (I believe his name was JP?) in White Rabbit. Check in was pretty seamless. We echo some of the other reviewer comments. We were only staying for one night and paid a pretty reasonable rate. I would be bothered by paying high season rates for what you got in the room. While the renovation is cute, it felt a little slapdash and budget. The TV had basic - I mean basic - cable only and felt like it was from the 90s. The bed linens felt like a budget hotel. There was what felt like a pretty big depression in the floor. It feels like they took a pretty tired vintage hotel and slapped some cosmetic changes. We appreciated the noise machine and didn't have the issue that the room was loud that some others noted. Rooms are small. There was a fridge, which is nice. Again, not a problem for us for what we were there for and we weren't expecting a luxury hotel -- but nevertheless, could see irritation at paying a luxury price point.

A tired hotel that is way overpriced

In retrospect, we should have read reviews before booking this. Agree that the room was very basic and dated and small, and the noise from the people in the room next to us was as if they were in our room. We booked a room with a balcony, but were put in a basement room with no balcony. The restaurant is awful. And so overpriced-- a plate of eggs with toast and potatoes $30-- overcooked and dry.
