    Reluctance Turned Surprise

    Tired driving I75 choose to stop here reluctantly but since property is close, room reasonably priced choose to stop. Very surprised and pleased. One of the best roadside hotels we've stayed in a long time. Our rooms looked either recently renovated or was well maintained. Public areas also looked clean and nice. Professional staff!     The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the front desk was very efficient and polite. Everything in the room was in good shape. The breakfast was sufficient.     We were stuck in Tampa as a result of the blzzard in the northeast and had to extend our stay one night. The hotel we were in, close to TPA, wanted in excess of $300 for the additional night (we didn't even pay that much for our original two night stay combined....). Found this hotel with a rate in line with what we had paid the prior two nights.We arrived at the hotel early and were accommodated with access to a room immediately which was much appreciated. The room was fairly basic, but was clean and everything delivered as needed (i. e. comfortable bed, good hot shower, good climate control and TV choices). Internet access was reliable.Hotel is right off I-75, with plenty of dining options close by, including some within walking distance. And it was an easy 25 minute drive to TPA. Definitely was worth the short added distance of driving to save what we did on a room for the night (at least $150).Would stay here again if/when down in Tampa area if the hotel continues to offer the kind of price advantage we found, on what was extremely short notice.
