    Quick getaway

    We live locally by Clearwater Beach but decided to rent a room for the night so we could enjoy a nice dinner at Bern’s Steakhouse without having to drive to fat before and after. Having points to use made it an inexpensive quick get away. The room was clean and quiet and the breakfast was a nice touch. Always enjoy my stay at Hilton hotels. Would definitely recommend if need a place before or after flying into Tampa International Airport.

    Good hotel near the airport, with some caveats

    This was a good hotel that I would go to again. It's very close to the airport, there's a free shuttle to and from the airport and the rental car center, and it's within walking distance (just a few minutes away, through a safe area) of a good restaurant—Coast—in the nearby Hilton Garden Inn. The downsides were: no hot water (just lukewarm) at night, though there was hot water in the morning, an unfriendly/unhelpful front desk person at night (blonde woman) who gave us the wrong answer (as did another, friendlier person) about the morning shuttle to the rental car center, and a so-so breakfast (including rotting bananas and apples). We did get a very friendly, knowledgeable person at checkout who gave us the correct answer about the shuttle going to the rental car center. As I said, overall this is a good hotel, despite some shortcomings, and worth considering if you need to be close to the airport.     Ive been staying here over a month due to work and I have to say there is one person that makes my stay feel like joke away from home and that is JEN. Anything I need whether if it's toiletries, things for the room, recommendations or even just a quick talk she kills it. Couldn't appreciate her more tbh.

    Nice place to stay near airport

    This is a partner hotel with the Norman Center for parathyroid surgery. The shuttle picked us up on request when we arrived, fairly promptly. Be careful though as you have to sit in a specific spot or shuttle will ignore you. Fortunately, a friendly cab driver directed us to the seating area. It is not obvious. The front desk staff were very nice and provided great advice on how the process with the Norman Center worked and where to eat.     My brother and I have just returned from staying at the Hampton Inn and Suites, Avion Park, Tampa Airport. We had two stays totalling 7 nights with a cruise in between. I cannot praise the Reception staff enough, particularly Denise, who was so friendly, yet professional, and went out of her way to assign us two rooms that I requested. Our rooms were on floor eight and seven and were big, airy and so clean and the staff who serviced our rooms did a super job at keeping our accommodation immaculate. So an extremely good stay was enjoyed - and I have to say that all staff, whether at Reception, in the Breakfast Room, housekeeping or by the Pool area are a real credit to the hotel management and my brother and I are certainly planning for a return visit next year.
