Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 238 non-smoking rooms. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     Very overrated and overpriced. The location is convenient to airport and the shuttle and front desk staff are friendly—but the hotel is tired, dirty, and lacking amenities you’d expect from a Hilton.The entry and hall needs to be swept, the hall carpets needed vacuuming, and the floor of the gym needs cleaning as well—all look like they hadn’t been cleaned in a week.The rooms are ok but the scratches in the wood trim and the frumpy beds show their age.The gym has space for about 3-4 people—pretty small for a hotel with 200 rooms.Last, the restaurant is only open for breakfast so the bar/lounge is the only place to eat lunch and dinner. There’s only one bartender and no wait staff—so service is extremely slow if you’re not sitting at the bar. The lounge chairs are also lousy for dining—sit much too low.It’s a lousy experience for a Hilton—worthy of a much lesser hotel name.

    We had a one night stay after landing in Tampa, the lady at the front desk who welcomed us was kind, friendly and helpful. Thats the only good thing I have to say about our stay. The room was in poor condition and in need of total refurbishment. Old chipped, scratched and dented furniture. Paint peeling off the walls and dirty carpet. Worst part was someone's disgusting false eye lashes in the bathroom next to the sink.The cleaner obviously didnt bother to do their job properly. This is completely unacceptable. When I mentioned this to the desk staff at check out, he told me that he would pass the comment on and offered for me to help myself to a free soda from the shop, I declined. Definitely expected better from Hilton. Would not be interested in booking again.     Arrived at the airport, called to request shuttle, put on hold no, Hilton never answered the hold, called back after waiting 10, redialed, was able to request shuttle. At the hotel while checking-in the phone rang, they put them on hold while assisting us, never answered the hold. No breakfast, no microwave, no evening cocktail event, no lounge for diamond members, restaurant closed minimal menu.     We arrived after 2am. The instructions for paying for parking were clear, though agree with others that $25 plus tax and fees ($29.10) is steep and there was nobody providing security.The room was clean, comfortable, a regular room. We did look at the pool which looked nice, though we didn't use the facility. Breakfast was okay. There were 2 women on their telephones on speaker and a little boy on a video game turned up so it was not enjoyable so we rushed to leave.
